Villa La Gorgone was more beautiful than even the photos could suggest. The terrace was huge and a true gathering spot for relaxation and drinks. The view was perhaps the most spectacular you will find. A breathtaking vista of the Ionian sea, Giardini Naxos, and a full view of Etna. Enza Maria was a fabulous and gracious host, attentive and available with good information about Taormina and the surrounding area. Comprehensive reading material and guidebooks were available to read if desired. She met us at check in and made it easy. The house was immaculate, beautifully decorated and well appointed. Lots of wonderful amenities were at our disposal. The kitchen was so nice. Plenty of room for 5 of us and could easily accommodate more. The three bathrooms made it very comfortable for us. The hot tub was perfect for early morning sunrises. We used the laundry which was great to have. Several terraces provided space for all to enjoy. There is an enclosed garage for the car which was a nice amenity to have especially for a rental. The walk down to Corso Umberto wasn't too bad, we managed to do it at least once per day, usually more. It is a beautiful way to work off the pasta, gelato, and cannoli. Porta Catania and Porta Messina both easy to get to. We walked down for granita every morning. Might be a little difficult for the elderly, but it was not too difficult for the 71 year old in our group.A truly beautiful home, with a view that is hard to beat. Grazie mille Cinzia!

Villa Gorgone is everything you hope it to be when you look at the photos. The house is spacious and comfortable and nicely decorated. We appreciated the large main area with room to gather, have dinner, or just relax together before bed. The Sicilian artwork through really made you feel at home. The outdoor spaces and views really make the villa something special. The very large main patio has stunning views of Taormina and the sea, Mt Etna, Naxos , Castlemola, and distant villages. You can also see Calabria off in the distance. Many in our group thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub which is on anupstairs patio. The house itself is very nice, clean, and very well equipped. It should be noted the Villa, as in all Taormina, requires the ability to climb many stairs. There is garage parking for one vehicle as well as an open space for a second one Enza was a pleasure to work with while planning our stay in her beautiful villa, and stayed in touch during our stay to make sure we didn’t need anything. Prior to our visit she recommended a chef (Fabbio Vassalo)to come to the villa to prepare dinner. What a treat that was. She also recommended a tour of Mount Etna which was truly something not to be missed. If you are looking for a fabulous place to stay in Taormina, with an excellent host,this is it.

Villa La Gorgone was fabulous! It was clean, spacious and had the most amazing views of the coastline from the cliffs. The host Cinci was welcoming, helpful and very responsive. She left a wonderful array of fruits, snacks and beverages for our stay. The villa had great outdoor space to enjoy. I would highly recommend this property- be prepared to walk , however. It is set near the top of the hill and you must walk down (and up) a lot of stairs to get to the Taormina town center. But well worth the views that come along with it.

A traditional large Sicilian home with incredible views of Taormina, Mount Etna and the bay. Additionally we were welcomed by a gracious hostess who was incredibly responsive throughout our stay and delivered a wonderful welcome basket of fresh fruit, bread, cheese, cold meats, beer and wine upon our arrival. The house was perfect for us as a family of 5 that included two parents and three adult children. Each had their own comfortable bedroom with beautiful terraces. Definitely a place I would return to should we decide on Taormina as a repeat vacation destination.

Taormina Villa La Gorgone

Amazing views from this home! Very nice kitchen that we used to cook a few meals over the Christmas holiday. Beautiful sunny weather in Taormina in December and spent time out on the South patio in the sun. Town of Taormina was very nice and could either drive down to parking garage just outside of town or could walk to town in 12 min. Good food in Taormina and many restaurants were open over the holidays. Very pleased with our stay at Villa La Gorgone!

The home is beautiful. Outside space and views were wonderful. We were a big group and enjoyed the comfort of being able to gather around the table or spread out. Our host went above and beyond for us by arranging excursions and transport. If you stay at Villa La Gorgone ask about having Fabio and Antonio cook breakfast ( or any meal) you will not be disappointed or hungry!

Taromina Property

There were a total of 3 couples all celebrating our 25th anniversary. The house was perfect accommodations for what we wanted. 3 separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The laundry was an added bonus as we were in Italy for 2 weeks. House was great views were spectacular. I would 100% recommend and I look forward to returning.

Amazing views of Taormina, Mt Etna and the Ionian Sea from three terraces. Spacious and walkable to many sites in Taormina. The host was very helpful in arranging rides to sites around Taormina. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
