Had a great stay at Tru by Hilton Toronto. The room was spotless and comfy, the staff was exceptional. We got in really early from a redeye flight and hoped to get checked into our room early, so that we could rest on our way home from a longer vacation. The young lady at the desk (I'm sorry I didn't get her name, but it was Thursday morning on the 12th February at about 8:00am) was really kind and responsive letting us know that there were no rooms available right then but that we could have breakfast in the meantime and she would work on getting us settled. By the time we had a bite to eat and got back to the front desk, she had everything sorted and we were able to get in our room. We were very happy as we had visions of sitting in the lobby for hours waiting to check in (after having travelled already for more than 24 hours). There were two downsides. One breakfast was not great and the area was pretty crowded with guests - could probably use a larger dining area given the popularity of breakfast in the morning. The other is it's a little out of the way if you want to go out for something to eat nearby and you don't have transportation. You can't really walk anywhere. Fortunately I knew this beforehand so we ordered in. Otherwise if you're intransit and need somewhere to stay , I'd recommend Tru by Hilton Toronto Airport West.

We were happy with the room overall but wished there was more space to hang clothes for 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids). The breakfast was good and what you'd expect from a Hilton brand hotel. Our only complaint was that the water in the pool was super cold, wven after asking ahead of arrival whether the pool was heated and getting confirmation.
