The staff were excellent & responsive + sensitive my elderly parents needs. They helped to keep the overall rating higher.
The amenities were okay. What needs improvement:
1. The ad says this is a 3 bedroom apartment. The apartment is a one bedroom apartment with 2 double beds (one in a private room, the other is an open balcony to downstairs with nowhere to store clothes) & a sofa bed in the living room. The ad needs to be reviewed as it is false advertising.
View: the balcony is for standing only and you have to look round the side to see the harbour. The bedroom window upstairs looks at a wall. The ad it states that all windows have sea views. However my parents still enjoyed the balcony view.
I requested another apartment as my father slept on the sofa bed as it was with the downstairs toilet & the internal stairs was too steep for him to go up & down safely. He was unhappy as it lacked privacy for him. The staff were able to offer a swap to a smaller apartment that looked at a wall & was darker & colder but had 2 separate bedrooms. My parents spent a lot of time in the apartment & this would have been inappropriate.
2. Something to hold the towels in the upstairs bathroom
3. Fix the leaky toilet upstairs. The flush is broken
4. The bedroom itself is next to the bathroom. I am noise sensitive & could hear the gushing of water & a motor (maybe aircon/heating) running throughout the night.
