Beautiful house on 2.6 acres with 3 bd 2 ba house located a few minutes from the unique and quaint town of Trout Lake. Large yard and pasture with a small creek (irrigation) running through the property. So peaceful and relaxing. We love sitting on the porch and relaxing with a coffee first thing in the morning or after a day of enjoying the outdoors. Guests will enjoy the nearby Cheesecaves and unlimited opportunities for outdoor activities and adventures in the surrounding Mt. Adams Wilderness, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, or Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. Or just put your feet up and enjoy some rest and relaxation away from it all while taking in the scenery....you deserve it!

Great yard for the dog. View of the fields and deer passing by was so relaxing. Clean and neat was the house. Amenities in good shape. Plenty of cut firewood for wood stove.

This was the nicest home we’ve stayed in and we’ve been renting homes for our vacations for 30 years. We loved the kitchen which is made for a chef. Everything was so well stocked. Condiments, spices, coffee maker that you can make coffee by the pot with grounds or by the cup with your keurig k pods. Every appliance you can think of, even crockpot, we’re all available for use. Livingroom has very comfy sofa and loveseat and chairs. Dining room great for a large or small family. Best of all the view from all the windows wrapping the livingroom in which we watched as deer came within feet of the home and snacked on the grass and the greens growing in the creek. Our small dog absolutely loved his vacation. He explored everything he could and thankfully its fenced so he could just roam free. We truly loved our stay. If you’re considering this hike, consider no more and click Book! I cannot think of anything you won’t like. Even if you’re not a dog person the home doesn’t smell of dog so don’t worry about this home being dog friendly. There was no dog smell, no dog fur and the house was very clean. Exceptionally so. There’s a washer and dryer and an extra amenity that I didn’t see mentioned; there’s a very nice bidet in the main bath. Even has a remote! I hope you have as lovely a time as my husband and I did. We look forward to returning next year or in the spring with our adult children. We stayed in mid October and it rained all 4 days of our stay but it was still worth it!

Perfect Getaway

Perfect mini-vacation for us. The house was very clean, just as advertised, and so well equipped. The photos don't do it justice.The owners have a policy of having the cleaning crew leave food left behind by previous tenents -- just in case later tenants want to use some of it. As it turned out, we didn't (except for some coffee options and some spices) but it was a nice gesture. The kitchen is LOADED with dishes, pots and pans, baking pans, and small appliances including toaster, crock pot, waffle iron, blender, microwave, and a really nice combo Keurig full pot/ single cup coffeemaker (to name a few).There is a huge dining table (seating for 10, I believe) as well as a smaller four-seat breakfast table. Out from the breakfast table is a nice covered patio with several comfortable chairs and a small gas grill.The downstairs bathroom is just outside the main (king-size bed) bedroom and the second bathroom is en suite upstairs in one of the two upstairs bedrooms.We took several walks each day around the semi-rural neighborhood... very pleasant and very quiet. The views of Mt. Adams (not visible from the house but is visible from the corner of the property) were gorgeous.A wonderful stay... highly recommended!

Wonderful stay!

This is a wonderful home, with well-equipped bathrooms and kitchen, lots of thoughtful touches. The fenced area is perfect for dogs. We had a peaceful retreat from the city here.

Weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location with so much to do in area. Full view of mount Adams a 2 minute walk down the road and walkable to nearby playground. Dogs loved playing in the front yard. Kitchen well stocked. Hope to come back again!

Peaceful beauty!

We really enjoyed our time at this little gem, it was so quiet and peaceful and the beautiful Deer would come right in the yard and eat. The roads were all kept plowed and the little cafe and coffee shop was wonderful! The food was great! And the views of Mt. Adams were stunning! The cozy fireplace in was perfect! Lovely autumn retreat

The farmhouse is delightful. Quiet and roomy. Plenty of everything and then some (could use ice trays if guests wish to make ice). But more than any other place was there. Walking up the road is quiet and easy. Driving for our autumn leaf peeping trip was super fun. Deer in the yard when we left and a peep at the mountain finished it off.

This property was well maintained on the outside as well as the inside. It was well supplied with everything you need plus more. The many windows gives you a view of the beautiful surroundings outside. There are many places to explore like the ice caves, natural bridges and goose lake for just a few. Peaceful retreat!

This is a great property located in a beautiful area. Wonderful for the whole family, including the furbabies. They loved it! The water from the tap is really cold, crisp spring water. The dishes are very nice, not just cheap put togethers. Great amenities of shampoo, body wash, anything you might have forgotten. Trout Lake Weekend

We spent a long weekend at Carol and Ron’s place and had a great time in Trout Lake. The house has a nice kitchen and a great yard with a creek running through it that our toddler loved exploring. Would definitely go back again!

Peaceful and great location

Perfect location - close to town center (very small town of trout Lake), yet located in private setting on acreage that is completely fenced and very quiet. Home very clean and spacious with plenty of room for the family. Beds quite comfy and the kitchen has everything you'll ever need. We had our big dog along and worked perfect for him as well. We stayed here for 5 nights and were on the go exploring Mount Adams area during the daytime and the patio was the perfect place to wind down and relax in the evenings. We would stay there again for sure. Tip - if you're visiting Mount Adams for the first time stop by the local Ranger Station and they will gladly give you advice and directions on where and what sites are available (trail heads, waterfalls, lakes, etc). That's what we did and it was super helpful.

Great House - Cozy and Well Appointed

My husband and sister and brother-in-law stayed in February to celebrate my birthday. We did some skiing and went to see music at the hall. Had a gathering of friends come for dinner. The kitchen worked great for entertaining the birthday gathering. Plenty of room to spread out and long dining room table. Highly recommend!

Beautiful house with well stocked kitchen, very clean on arrival, and a nice large area for dogs to romp. The location was nice and quiet, yet close to amenities in Trout Creek. Plenty of outdoor activities in the to explore as well, highly recommended!
