Excellent stay
Posted May 15, 2024 on HomeAwayExcellent stay! Beautiful location. We were amazed to see the southern Aurora lights..what an experience!! We also enjoyed talking to the highland cows right next door.
Will definitely be back.

Posted Apr. 19, 2024 on HomeAwayWe all had a wonderful night at the Cattle Stop. Even the rain didn't dampen our time. Loved all the cattle decor.
Bug zapper or flyspray would be a good addition to supplies, as we had the windows open while we were cooking tea and we were invaded. In the mornings the fantails must have known as they came the house for a visist and feast.

Peaceful farm stay with beautiful outlook

We ended up staying in the Sheep's Retreat instead of Cattle Stop after a booking mix up which our host sorted out for us quickly and professionally. The location is outstanding, with beautiful views, clear night skies and wildlife to watch from the deck. The house is well equipped, especially the wood burner with plenty of fuel at the ready. Really appreciated the fresh coffee and breakfast supplies. We would love to stay again and share the place with more friends.

Couldn't be better

Great wee cottage
Posted Nov. 17, 2023 on HomeAwayWhat a wonderfully peaceful spot. The lovely cottage had everything we needed and we enjoyed seeing the cattle, both pictures and toys, wherever we turned. A nice touch.
