"Great location, very friendly staff. However, the first-floor room we stayed in was awful: Windows face the covered patio so no sunlight and no privacy—shades had to stay down, so you're basically staying in a tiny broom closet. AC control panel lights up the room at night. You can hear the subway go by at regular intervals, and we were awoken at 4am by a really loud, jarring jackhammer-type noise. Mentioned this to front desk and in post-stay survey, zero real response other than "so sorry." Stayed another night in a different room, much better in terms of spaciousness and natural light, but AC pointed directly at the bed pillows and had a sign saying not to redirect the vent. So the air just blew right on your face. My advice: Request a room NOT on the first floor, and make sure you adjust the AC so it doesn't blow on your face all night. Otherwise, super friendly staff, nice little cafe area downstairs, and solid wi-fi. (I'm slightly annoyed I was charged almost the same price for the tiny, loud, cave-like room and the other room that was 1,000x better, but again, management basically just said "sorry" when I notified them.)"
