Great place to stay!
Posted May 26, 2024 on HomeAwayCame for Memorial Day weekend, and had a great time. Place was clean and very spacious. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to starved rock state park. A lot of cute local shops to check out. Great communication with host. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a chill getaway. 10/10 do recommend.

The property was great and nearby local establishments were very inviting and variety of food was nice.
Check-in was not good, I never received property resort number of the villa or code to get in, I had to call the owner of the property to get all of the information needed.

Great Hideout from Winter Storm
Posted Jan. 15, 2024 on HomeAwayOverall property was great. Fireplace in master did not work and the tv in master is very outdated. Had to move guest bedroom tv into master for picture clarity and sound. Unit does not have Tupperware or foil/saran wrap so need your own for leftovers. But overall a very pleasant stay.

Perfect for your getaway!

Updated with a rustic feel. Extremely clean with plenty of room and amenities, and only a short walk to Grand Bear Lodge if you prefer something local for dinner at Jack's Place which hit the spot. Best yet was the proximity to the trails of Starved Rock, which is simply accessed right across E. 8th Road.
We would definitely bring our kids as well as there is plenty of exploring to do whether outdoors or at the lodge.
A perfect stay and will definitely look to book here again on our next trip!

Girls weekend

Perfect stay with friends for a hiking weekend!
Posted Nov. 1, 2023 on HomeAwayPlenty of room for 5 adults, and had room for two more. Clean, cozy and convenient spot for hiking the State Park. We were able to walk to the park and short drive to dinner. Hoping to stay again.
