The best apartment in Vernazza

Posted May 13, 2024 on HomeAway
Excellent instructions for easy check-in. First impression - "This place is beautiful". Looking over the main square and out to the sea, it is literally the center of the action --- but after 10:00 pm., you could hear only the surf, as a cat walks across the square. By noon, there are more people in Vernazza than there are in Times Square -- get out of town and go for a hike. Great restaurants nearby.

Great home base in Vernazza

Posted May 4, 2024 on HomeAway
Good communication with host. Easy check in. Biggest plus of this apartment is the location right in Marconi Piazza. There is not a lot of accommodation in Vernazza especially ones that don’t require multiple sets of stairs, only one up to the apartment here. The beds were comfy and we had everything we need although we did not do any email preparation. The kitchen how to basics. We would stay here again.

The apartment was quaint & very conveniently located in the piazza. Also just a short walk to the train station. We were pleased with everything!

Vernazza adventure

We followed the directions for accessing The VRBO. Funky, fun decor. The horse makes me smile. The location is right by the water and the busy piazza so lots of energy. Beautiful sunsets.

Great apartment for stay in Cinque Terre!

Posted Nov. 1, 2023 on HomeAway
After a lot of research we decided to base our 3 night stay in Cinque Terre in Vernazza and selected this apartment on VRBO. The apartment could not have been in a better location - right on the plaza in the heart of the town. It was charming inside with a comfortable bed and everything was clean. Checkin and checkout were easy with a lockbox located next to the door of the apartment. A couple of notes that are importnant to mention - entry into the apartment requires walking one flight of 20 stairs, but I guess if you’re visiting Cinque Terre that shouldn’t be an issue. The other thing I glossed over was the apartment does not have AC. It wasn’t an issue for us with a mid October visit (even though the days were in the low 80’s!), but it perhaps might be in the middle of the summer if you prefer a really cool place to sleep. For our purposes however, everything was perfect!

In the heart of Vernazza

My husband, 11-year-old son and I loved our stay at the apartment on Piazza Marconi. The view can’t be beat. The loft bunk bed was such a fun space for our son to call his own. We loved being so close to the restaurants, swimming and shops. Dinner at Gianni Franzi was our favorite meal, but the truffle pizza at Ananossa was also delicious. Pack beach towels if you plan to swim in the cove - a very memorable experience! We made good use of the clothes line and appreciated being able to stretch out on the couch. The buzz in the square at night was fun, but remember to close the windows before bed to block out sounds that start early in morning, such as street cleaners and garbage trucks. Our only recommendation would be to add more fans since it was so hot and there’s no air conditioning.
