The hotel itself needs some makeover- pillows are rock hard bed okay our TV never worked for the two days we were here. The staff is really nice they did try to fix the TV but just didn’t work. Parking is tight if you have a truck. Would not be coming back

By the inlet was great!

We stayed in the annex in a larger room with full kitchen, bedroom up a few stairs. Clean and my husband looked it over when he was in the area in January. Good staff but no Wifi in our room. It worked on the patio area out front.

Great location for beachers and fishermen/women

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Poor breakfast
Dockside is located near some good restaurants and great beaches. Beyond that, Fort Pierce has little to offer tourists. The town is depressed and stores are empty, and there isn't any great shopping destinations. If you go to Hutchinson Is. stay there, else you'll be driving north to Vero or south to Port St. Lucie and even further south, to find anything remotely "swanky". It's a rustic town being regentrified. Dockside wasn't anything fancy, but it was clean and had all the amenities except for decent coffee n bfast. They give you plastic-wrapped muffins/pastries, but no fruit, eggs or cereal. Again, based on location, I might stay there again. I was visiting family, so I don't know if I consider it a destination getaway. Better than staying by I-95 for certain.
