This private 8.5 acre property is located in the heart of hill country, with amazing panoramic views. Newly remodeled property with thoughtful design and furnishings.

The property has 3 cottages and an observation tower. The prices you see on this listing are for all 3 cottages... you will have the property all to yourselves.

The brand new pool is finished and ready to go! You'll love the hill country views while lounging at the pool.

NOTE : The drive to the property ends with a 1 mile long, gravel road. These gravel roads are common in Texas hill country, and cars of all sizes are fine... just make sure to drive slowly. We drive 10 miles per hour down the gravel road.

New Year's Trip

Rented for a getaway with our adult children. The set up was perfect, the scenery is sublime, and the accommodations were exceptional. The only snag we had was that the cottage 1 heater was not working, and I contacted the owner who IMMEDIATELY replied to help us troubleshoot (it was on a timer). We had a wonderful time despite the weather and welcomed 2021 with open arms!!!! WILL DEF BE BACK

Awesome place in Wimberley!

The photos don't do the place justice. It's hard to capture just how great this place is in pictures. The cabins are all perfectly set near one another, forming really nice outdoor gathering places. Fire-pit with Christmas lights overhead creates a really relaxing ambience. Used the smoker which was great. Views are fantastic, especially from the observation deck over the pool. My wife was really impressed with the interior decorating. Everything worked as it should. Close to town too so you can spend the day jumping from the quant shops to the nearby wineries and breweries. Would not hesitate to recommend or stay again.

Great family getaway

This property is beautiful! The views go on forever! We didn't want to leave. The cabins were very clean and we didn't lack anything. The kitchen was small but, had everything we needed. No complaints & can't wait to go back!

Great place with lots of character

What a awesome little place in the hill hill country! The view from the pool and the lookout tower were awesome. The big pack porch was great for hanging out and cooking. If there was an outdoor kitchen I would give this place 6 stars. Perfect for a weekend getaway to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Kitchen disaster

We thought the kitchen would be well equipped according to all the reviews and web page. WE had 5 adults there and found making a meal very difficult. There were only 7 forks and about the same number of spoons. 4 coffee cups All the cookware was very old. The drawers were filled with old inadequate utensils that looked like they came from a low grade thrift sale. There was not even a big spoon to serve the baked beans.. Cabin 2 was equally sparse on cups etc. We were constantly picking up a plate that had been washed by someone and the cleanliness was suspect. We decided to buy plastic utensils and paper plates for cleanliness. Other than that we enjoyed the stay but were unable to use cabin 3 due to sewer gas. I found the owner to be very polite and attentive to the lack of hot water in the main cabin. That could happen anytime -so no fault there. The setting is lovely, the pool is fabulous. To make the property truly worth the money we paid -several improvements need to be made. The kitchen needs a dishwasher. The cabinet to the left of the stove had no shelves and housed paper bags. A bank of drawers would be very helpful. The quality of kitchen accessories needs to be improved to nice useable things and not a conglomeration of many many random plastic glasses. There is room for some shelving behind the front door. The stairs leading upstairs in the main cabin are very steep. I had to navigate them every night . I am 73 and healthy , but the trip down to the bathroom was dangerous and very inconvenient. My sister slept on the futon so I woke her up in the middle of the night every night. I just spoke with her on the phone. She said she didn't mention the very uncomfortable futon because I was paying for the trip and she didn't want to appear ungrateful. She said after a while she could feel the wood coming into her. She weighs 120 lbs. I try to be a positive rather than a critical person, but I feel these are things the owner needs to know. I wish them all the best and hope they are able over time to bring this property up to the level that the rent deserved. Sincerely, Kathy White

Perfect getaway

This is a well maintained property exactly as described. The pool is beautiful and each cabin is well stocked and decorated. There are lots of thoughtful details like toiletries, plenty of towels, basic spices and water bottles. This is a quiet nature retreat. You can see the stars at night, hear the coyotes and watch the Hawks from the pool. It's amazing. You'll have everything you need here and a great time.

We enjoyed our stay! Everything was so clean and well appointed. Peace and quiet was just what we needed. The separate cabins were great for our kids to get a little space of their own. We would definitely stay there again.

Family Getaway

We had a great time at this property. Everything was throughly thought out as far as needs of the property. Three separate cabins was ideal for our group. Quiet property and beautiful scenery. The pool was perfect and having our morning breakfast on the observation deck was the perfect touch. The owners were great to communicate with. Def would come back!

Excellent! Property was exactly as advertised, very clean, well supplied, and everything worked! Our group of nine have an annual 5 day trip and we are ages 55 to 63. This place was perfect for us! Quiet, secluded, but very close to restaurants and grocery store. Hope to return again!

A Hill Country Gem!

We reserved Moon Doggie for a girl's weekend for 6. It was perfect for our group and I loved all of the gorgeous details from the craftsmanship of the cottages to the outdoor space. They thought of everything. There's solar lights that come on when it gets dark so you have a path to light your way around once night falls. The pool is a great way to relax after a day of fun in Wimberley and this property is close to everything. Nick is quick to respond to all inquiries and messages. Overall a fantastic experience and great time was had by all in our group. I hope to come back again with family and spend more time than just a weekend. You definitely have to check it out!

Beautiful and serene getaway

This place is a hidden treasure in the hill country. It was so beautiful and serene. We loved hanging out by the pool and gazing over the country side in the tower. Nick was very quick to answer any questions we had. We love to cook and were hoping for some more kitchen supplies but we were still able to make everything work. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!

What a Gem!

Perfect get-away spot! Quiet and peaceful, but so close to everything you'll want to do. Owners Nick and Michelle obviously love this place...they made sure everything was perfect. Cabin details are great; comfortable, clean, and pretty. Every detail though of. Bright and airy. Plenty of outdoor areas to relax and socialize with family and friends. Pool is beautiful and looks out over the amazing hillside. Will definitely come again!
