Spacious holiday cottage in Bowness on Windermere, Lake Distrct, Uk

CHERRY TREE COTTAGE is a spacious cottage, Lake District cottage. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and sleeps up to 6 people and a baby. There is a cot and high chair available.

The cottage has 2 ground floor bedrooms, a hallway, a large ground floor bathroom with a bath and a utility room. It is ideal for people with limited mobility.

On the first floor there is a lovely modern fitted kitchen with a dining area and a large lounge with seating for 6 people, tv, dvd player and WIFI. Then on the second floor there is a large double double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and shower and a further single bedroom.

Cherry tree cottage has a lovely private rear garden, garden furniture, a driveway for 2 cars and a garage.

The cottage is in a popular area in between the towns of Bowness and Windermere. It is a 5 minute walk to both towns, however, it is away from the crowds.

There are many lovely country walks within easy reach of the cottage e.g. The Dales Way, Orrest Head, Lake Windermere, Elterwater and the Langdales. The Beatrix Potter Museum is a short walk from the property. Brockhole Visitors Centre with go Ape is a popular attraction and is a short bus ride or drive away. Buses run regularly from just outside the cottage to Ambleside, Bowness, Windermere, Kendal and Keswick. It is easy to get around. Windermere train station is approximately 1 mile from the property. The cottage is now being cleaned in accordance with Covid 19 Government Guidelines. I accept short breaks during low season.
I am happy to consider taking one small well behaved, house trained dog. Please ask before booking. I do not allow dogs on beds or furniture and they are not to be left alone in the property.

Please put the rubbish out as advised in the house. My neighbour will put the bin out each week to be collected and he will return it.
Access is via a keysafe. When you are leaving please put the keys back and jumble up the numbers.

Great home base for touring the Lake District.

We were 4 adults and a 5 year old and we loved the kitchen and sitting room. We ate “at home” every night we were there. The proximity to the hikes we wanted to do was excellent.

Great place

Perfect location for exploring Windermere with being a short walk to both Windermere and Bowness. Had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. Great communication with Val so felt at ease from the beginning. Would definitely recommend if visiting this area.

Perfect for our needs.

Well located cottage, equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and good stay. Val, was an excellent communicator and the process to get in was efficient and easy. The house itself is homely and comfortable and inviting. There is parking off the street and the house is within an easy walk of restaurants and convenience stores. A perfect place to get away.

Fishermans retreat

From the booking to the end of the break was excellent. The property was very clean with everything that you need at hand.The property is a little strange at first to see bedrooms on the ground floor, with the kithen and lounge on the 1st floor, but it works well. Shops and pubs only 10 - 15 mins away. We will return thank you Val.

The whole process from start to finish was excellent. Val responded to all messages swiftly and in a professional manner. As for the location of Cherry Tree Cottage. It was perfect for a stroll either to Windermere or Bowness-on-Windermere. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Great location between Bowness and Windemere

The rental was easy and the owner was helpful. The property is a short walk from anywhere in Windemere. Pubs, shops, lakes, restaurants, ferries are all close by. The property is ideal for a group of walkers/climbers/cyclists. Spacious. Clean. Well equipped. Nothing fancy just everything you need.

Our trip to the lakes

This was a very straight forward rental with no hassle at all. The house was clean and tidy and really conveniently situated for Bowness-On-Windermere and Windermere and also for a few longer journeys out. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone planning on staying in the area.

Perfect for Lake District break

Location is within walking distance of both Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere. Bus stop is just down the road, plenty of room, information for the local area, very good value thank you
