This place is special. Unique. It you ever want to spend quality time with people you love and check back in on what truly matters in this life then stay here.
My family and I genuinely enjoyed our stay at Camp One. However, we ended cleaning the property when we arrived. There was jelly and crumbs on the table as if someone had just made a sandwich, and didn't clean up after themselves. There were feminine hygiene products in the garbage of 3 of the house, the outdoor kitchen was torn apart, and my husband had to take the propane tank to be filled so we could use the BBQ.
We loved this experience! It really is just steps from the ocean, and the sound of waves is constant and wonderful. It was easy to have a safe and socially distant getaway with friends here!
Our only real problem with the place is that the bulk of the door to the Nip and Tuck cabin was gone, and instead of replacing it with something sturdy, they covered the inside of the door with plastic about as thick as a garbage bag. It was a blustery, rainy fall weekend, so we decided not to stay in that cabin because it was likely to be very cold with a gaping hole covered only with thin plastic! It's a lovely location, so we were disappointed to lose that cabin. Hopefully the door will be covered with something more substantial before the colder winds of winter come!
This is a VERY rustic getaway, but it was a delight, and everyone loved the experience!
What a little GEM!! We rented this property for my 40th birthday and although the kitchen couldâve been cleaner and the cabins could have been warmer, we really enjoyed our stay! Weirdly though, the beds werenât fully made, not sure why itâd be the guestsâ job to finish putting the linens and blankets on the beds.. also, if youâre visiting during cooler weather Iâd suggest bringing extra blankets/sleeping bags, because we were pretty cold at night (The low was around 50 degrees) The checkout instructions seemed to be a generic copied and pasted version that the property management must uses for all their rentals.. it said to run the dishwasher and do a load of towels, yet there was no dishwasher or laundry facilities to be found. The listing also said there were both gas and charcoal grills, but we only found a gas one. The photos on the listing leave something to be desired as well. They should at least post a few pics of the cabin interiors. But all that aside, this spot is GORGEOUS and we really canât wait to go back! Itâs just steps away from the beach, which we basically had to ourselves, and the property is like a magical fairy wonderland! We actually talked about trying to find out if the owners would be willing to sell. We didnât want to leave!
