If you want a true Oregon experience, and if privacy, solitude and pristine environment, is what you desire and deserve, the gated privacy of Historic Mountain Pacific Chalet is the cabin for you! The thundering Pacific Ocean, the emerald green Coast Mountains and the pristine Ancient Forest is all that can be seen and heard at this unique cabin. Perched on a forested mountainside 250 ft. above the sea, this exposed beam A-Frame Cedar Chalet with its custom mill work, glowing wood stove, an outside ocean view hot tub, and indoor ocean view jacuzzi, will make for a one of a kind experience.

The Mountain Pacific Chalet sets back off the road, with gated security. The forest, mountains and ocean can be viewed from all rooms in this beautiful Cedar Chalet and rest assured, it has one of the most breath taking views on ALL of the rugged Oregon Coast. You won't be disappointed!

Imagine sitting in the great room with its huge wooden beams and glowing wood stove, and watching as Whales, Orcas, Seals and Sea Lions swim within a few hundred feet from where you are sitting. You will also watch Bald Eagles soar overhead as countless Eagles call this area (Seal Point) home.

Imagine the early morning swish as a Whale surfaces to get a breath of crisp, pure Oregon air. Imagine watching a friendly Black Bear meandering in the woods on his way to catch a fish or pick berries. And, imagine the peace and tranquility that you will experience relaxing in this cabin with a good book and your favorite tea, among the mist, the mountains, and being surrounded be the 3 million acre jewel of the Oregon Coast, the Siuslaw National Forest with not a single neighbor anywhere nearby.

This will be your experience that you will enjoy and cherish at this beautiful, and unique Chalet, located on the shores of Sea Rose Beach.

If location is everything for you this is the place! Absolutely stunning ocean views from the living room and hot tub! The cabin is minutes away from some of the most amazing sights we’ve ever seen such as Thor’s Well, Devils Churn and so many amazing beaches! The cabin is in need of updates. The beds are all very firm and older, the towels are very worn and most of the windows have no screens. The hot tub is also clearly way past its prime. We would recommend this VRBO to anyone but would also urge the owner(s) to reinvest in this amazing property.

Overall great experience. Private and scenic but close to many activities. Cabin clean and maintained though dated. Only thing I would change is the mattresses, which were very old and quite uncomfortable. Otherwise really wonderful.

Our favorite beach house

Loved this house ! Incredible view. Well maintained hiking paths from property. Clean and well stocked. Needs a new mattress in upstairs bedroom. Aside from that I wouldn’t change one thing. We plan to come back when we can watch a storm from the amazing windows. Wow!

Secluded getaway

We stayed for our 31st wedding anniversary. Great place! Secluded with beautiful ocean view! Hot tub was clean and jets worked as they should. Wood fireplace was amazing and heated entire home. Our stay was cozy and relaxing. Would highly recommend!

60th birthday celebration

Three of us stayed at the Chalet. It was the perfect size and met all of our needs. The hot tub was great! The unit was very clean & everything was in working order. You might want to provide an information book to explain all the remotes. We did lose power on Saturday morning for 5 hours. The communication with the property manager was slow. I left 3 messages before I was called back. We loved the unit and would stay here again.

Private, comfy better in person than listing shows.

We enjoyed our stay , the online comments were misleading, out of date . Place has been updated, no weird open space by the upstairs tub people had complained about. Sheets were fine,others had said take your own,no need,same with pans, there are a ton of pots and pans .The kitchen is fully stocked with almost any kind of pan etc .There is a Kureig so take pods if you like coffee. Wifi was a great, no issues. There are binoculars and outdoor lounges. so you don't need to bring your own ,which we did ,as some reviewers has suggested. It is like a l lodge in decor. When you rent do check in with the rental agency on how the key system now works before driving to the cabin , will save you some minor frustration. Only minor request , would like a folder with easy step by step on how the DISH tv works ( you do not get local news etc. we are non techies ) and a folder with specifics to the house and perhaps a map for fun trails designated on the property. The heating system has a few issues, a knob doesn't stay on one, one t behind the TV, There are two portable heaters but only one works. There are cozy blankets in a cedar chest if you get chilled ,I can see this in the winter but there s a wood burning stove .The location is great there are beaches to drive to within a mile or so each way,view is wonderful. appreciated we could take our 10 pound Diva Pup.We hope to return.

Total privacy. Be ready for the very steep and winding gravel driveway, but once you're over that its totally worth it! Amazing view! No cell phone signal, and thats a good thing... Loved it! Its our new home away from home.

Just What We Needed!

Beautiful cabin, roomy, so peaceful and quiet. This is up on the inland side of 101, but we could hear almost no traffic, and the ocean sounds were amazing. Perfect location, even a few short trails around the property itself, and e of hrs are so quiet, dark, and perfect. The owner was easy to communicate with, too. We will definitely hook another stay. A couple things to note: not very small kid friendly because of the stairs and open loft . But I would say joke for ages 6 +. Also, if you don’t like looking out a window after dark, there are no window coverings. Otherwise- a PERFECT STAY.

Peaceful retreat above the sea

This home was an incredible place to stay for a long weekend. We loved being able to sit in the living room, deck, or the hot tub and look out at the sunset. And the star-gazing was phenomenal! The kitchen is fully equipped with what you need to prepare a good meal, we did one of the puzzles supplied, and the bed, linens, & towels are comfortable. Our only lament was that we couldn't open any of the windows to smell that great ocean breeze and listen to the waves - very few of the windows have screens for some reason. We would absolutely stay here again.

Property manager was fabulous !

Navigating driveway and turn around area was absurd. Property is outdated and lacking basic cook ware, cookie sheets, coffee mugs, etc. Television lacks standard channels. The owner has obviously neglected this property which causes the property manager to make undo trips to the property.

Quiet getaway

Our family of 5 were so happy with our recent stay. We especially enjoyed the quiet, private location. The sounds and view of the ocean were just what we had hoped for staying on the Oregon coast. Lots of hiking trails nearby and the tide pool wildlife was fascinating. The view of harbor seals sunning themselves on the rocks right outside our window was a highlight every morning. The house was just as described. Would come back for sure!

Awesome location, place is simple and clean. Great view

Would come again. Couple suggestions - put glass or something or something I’m upstairs bathroom so everyone below can’t hear or even see you. Plus, check in with property manager was a pain where had to separately give them Credit card information- never had to do this before. Plus, for some reason they didn’t see my email with requested info that delayed getting check in information- made more work for me.
