The perfect spot on a magnificent stretch of sandy beach is waiting for a relaxing couples' gathering or a family getaway! Halfway between the quaint Oregon beach towns of Yachats and Waldport, this tasteful beachfront home provides the perfect getaway for up to 6 people. Just 18 steps down your private stairway to the beach, Heron Song is located on a quiet dead end street with ample parking and features a lawn area, hot tub, and expansive deck overlooking Tillicum Beach.
The home features a Queen bed and full bath on first floor, a second King suite with an ocean view and full bath upstairs. Cozy up to a wood fire in the living room (or make one on the beach!), whale watch from the comfort of the inside or on the large deck overlooking the ocean and watch the glorious sunset over the Pacific Ocean from your private perch above the beach. In addition to the main house there is a detached second floor primary suite with Queen bed, full bath and ocean view! This detached suite has a sun room with a magnificent ocean view, a double futon fold out, full bath with shower, small refrigerator, two burner stove, microwave and toaster oven. If you choose, you never have to leave this romantic suite!
The home has Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, and DVD players. Take a 3.5 mile walk down the beach to explore the charming and artsy town of Yachats, go another few miles south to hike the magnificent Cape Perpetua State Park with tidepools and breathtaking beach and mountain paths to meander. And 3.5 miles north enjoy the beach town of Waldport, rent a boat and rings to go crabbing, or go on up to Newport and enjoy a bowl of hot chowder from The Chowder Bowl. Dogs are welcome on the main floor or the apartment of Heron Song and will love to frolic at the beach! Wash the sand off yourself or your pup in the outdoor heated shower positioned perfectly next to the hot tub!

We celebrated our Dad's 96th BD here. It was a highlight for him. Beautiful view of the ocean, easy for him to get around, great yard for our dogs, rustic-feeling abode, as described, and as we appreciated from our youngster trips to the beach with family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is spacious and comfortable, and what a view! The location is perfect. As close to the ocean as you can get. Close enough to town that it’s convenient, but far enough away that the only sound we could hear were the waves. The fully fenced yard took the worry out of letting our dog run. Great place!

Great property. Stairs to the beach are a little treacherous and some definite deferred maintenance. Great location. Hole in the fence where the neighbors dogs kept coming into the fenced yard. All in all a pretty good experience.

Unbelievable spot on the beach

We enjoyed everything about our stay, from the beach walks, to local shopping and dining. Luna's is a must for the Halibut fish and chips. Great time, thanks for having our family.

Beautiful view, comfortable space, and perfect for the whole family. A few comments; there are no blinds or curtains in the apartment so female visitors will need to change clothes in the main house for privacy, there are several places in the fence that are broken, and steps down to the beach are steep and there is no handrail. If anyone in your party is unsteady, they will need to go to a different beach access. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again when my daughter is a little older.

Wish I could live there!

Awesome location, view and nice rooms. I loved the big deck on the beach and spacious yard for our dogs. The hot outdoors shower, laundry room, and game room in the garage was a big plus. The home needs a little TLC but its great for a beach house. I would stay there again.

Heron Song vacation

The house is perfect, as my wife said, of all the vacation houses we have stayed in, every summer since 1998, this one was the closest to the ocean! The area between Newport and Yachats is an incredible part of the Oregon coast and Heron song adds to it!

Amazing views!

We were glad to find this house for a last minute booking. Beautiful views, relaxing hot tub, and steps right to the beach! The only issue we had was with cleaning dishes since there were no sponges and the dishwasher was broken, but overall we had a great stay.

Adorable house with great beach access. The hot tub is back on the property so you aren't able to see the beach very well but it was covered and sheltered which was great for the very rainy weekend.

The house has great bones. The location is perfect! We loved the beach and the nearby towns and shops. We celebrated our 39th anniversary a few houses away from where we stayed on our honeymoon. The area has really not changed much. Great memories!

Great place on the coast!

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a lovely house with ocean views and a separate apartment with its own sun room. We loved the easy access to the beach for long walks and nearby Yachats for fresh seafood meals. The house was comfortable and we really enjoyed having our dogs there as well. Some of the furniture has a little wear and needs updating but overall the place was cozy for a largely rainy weekend with a few bits of sunshine. Thanks and we hope to return!

The view from this house is absolutely fantastic! Sitting in the living room or on the deck, just watching the waves was so peaceful. We stayed for two weeks, with people visiting us and staying in the apartment above the garage, which worked really well since they had their own space. The slanted ceilings in both upstairs rooms took some getting used to, but the location made up for that.The hot tub was very clean and the fenced yard was much appreciated by our dogs.The cleanliness level of the rest of the house was really our only issue; but since it's pet-friendly it really wasn't a big deal to us. Some of the furnishings are pretty run down, but still functional so that didn't bother us much either. We're planning on renting the house again next year, so that should communicate how much we enjoyed our stay.

This beach house was all it was suppose to be! Beautiful, great location, and amazing view! Everything was as it was described, the cleanliness was lacking but mostly dusty and some messes left from possible previous occupants. Overlooking this, it was such a fun and unforgettable experience!

View is beautiful. It was nice to have beach access. Stairs are not suitable for seniors or small children. The house is older and is in need of a refresh & deep cleaning. The furniture is pretty worn & dirty.

Beautiful ocean views!

The hosts request that you check in by phone with them on arrival, which was hard to do with no cell service and the landline had trouble getting through at first. But once we resolved that, the hosts were friendly and helpful. The home was fully stocked and comfortable. Would definitely rent here again!

Amazing views

Stayed here over spring break with the kids. Waking up and walking down the beach was so nice. The hot tub was great! The road to the house is very bumpy so just prepare for that when you turn off the highway in a hurry. If I ever get to back to the coast again we would definitely try and get this place again. 10/10 all the stars!

Yachats rental

Great house on the shore line. It was great to have the steps that went right down to the beach. The location was great to all the areas that we visited. You should consider having a Keurig and more comfortable pillows. I regretted not bringing my own pillow. Replace the can opener that does not work and replace the burned out lightbulbs. Overall, we had a great stay.
