The staff are always amazing and helpful. I love the onsite parking, which is discounted for guests. The rooms aren't huge but they are spacious enough for what you need. The location here is key, it's in the perfect spot to visit the city.

We arrived early and was welcomed by a lovely grey haired lady and our luggage took off us. When we returned to check in it was disorganised and this lady seemed to get the brunt of people’s frustrations! Whilst another lady sat there and didn’t seem very interested in checking all in. Room was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was good and organisation good.

Room service replaced by “call and collect”. You order via A QR code link online, and they call you when its ready. You have to schlep down three floors and 100 metres along a corridor to the bar. You get your food in Mcdonalds style boxes, just three times the price! Why pay £191 per night for the Park Inn by Radisson plus £28 for a takeaway burger and dessert, when you can pay £70 at a Travelodge plus £12 for a delivered Mcdonalds meal.

We stayed to visit the Christmas Market and found that everything was in easy walking distance there was lots of places to eat nearby and the hotel was very clean.

We arrived about 2pm to be told our Superior room was ready but needed to be approved. We were advised to come back at 3pm after having already checked in online and gave our bags to be put in a store room with tags. We returned at 5.30pm to be told ‘we don’t have the room you booked but we have the next best thing - a family room’ The room was freezing and right next to the hotels air con units so sleeping ext to these aircraft engines was impossible! The attitude of the guy who gave us the room was hostile and unhelpful.

Wasnt as good as previous stays Im afraid. Check in was terrible and took about 10 minutes despite me doing it online and their being two staff members there, noone offered to help. Room was clean and comfortable BUT there was a huge flag outside my window which was flapping in the wind very loudly throughout the night. Not sure thats the best position for a flag!

Two problems in my stay: bathroom and breakfast. Shower tray drain was partially blocked meaning I couldn’t get a full shower. The washbasin plug didn’t seal so I had to leave the tap running to keep the basin full while having a shave. Food at breakfast was poor; bacon was overcooked and cold, no mushrooms, pastries were not fresh. I would not stay again.

This hotel was perfect for visiting central city of York.Very close to the train station and all shops/amenities. Room was spotless/staff were helpful.
