"First, on the day we arrived, that night we had to change rooms because the bath tub was leaking water all over the bathroom floor. Also, the toilet lid was broken, the air conditioning had a loud noise and wasn’t cooling property. On the second room, the same happened with the air conditioning. The hotel was poorly staffed and several times, the excuse was: “right now, we have no concierge or hostess or bellboy”. Also I speak for languages fluently (spanish, english, italian and french) and many times we had to wait for the staff to find someone that spoke one of those languages. The last night, we had to go to bed without having dinner because we ordered room service and they said that food would arrive in 15mins. One hour passed and I called to see the status of our order and the person said that he couldn’t comply with out order because he couldn’t prepare the food because the kitchen was getting maintenance. If I hadn’t called no one would have let us know. It was a time to relax and enjoy as a couple in a luxury resort but it felt more like a resort that is about to close or go bankrupt. So sad to see such a beautiful place give their clients that poor customer service. "

"The property is well maintained and the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious. I especially loved the local cachaça. I would have used the gym and spa room more if it opened earlier."

"The hotel, amenities and breakfast are very good. What we did not like was that it is located right be the Dutra freeway. The window handle of our room was broken. We informed the front desk and they said they would check it out. Early in the morning we were woken up by the noise of trucks outside our room. We booked for 2 nights, but even before we checked in we said we would only stay one night, and not two as booked. Upon our check out we received the billing statement from the hotel with the charge for one night. Now, nor the hotel or Expedia want to issue a refund. Disappointing."
