The Bowline Hotel is in an amazing location right on the Columbia River. Our room was very comfortable and the view was great. There were sea lions roaming under the pilings the hotel is build on, and in the water next to the hotel. The Bowline is in very easy driving distance to the museums and restaurants in Astoria, but the whole Astoria boardwalk area was not very lively the weekdays we were there. Parking is on the street unless you use the hotel's valet service. Our breakfast, which was not part of our room charge, was very nice. We would stay here again.
We really enjoyed the room and all of the little extras like tea, robes, slippers, bath salts, earplugs, water, q tips, ocean sound machine etc. The little things and details were very nice.
Amazing staff, great room and view! Very clean and unique. Most comfortable bed and pillows weâve ever had at a hotel! We love everything about this place. My wife travels all over the U.S., all the time and this is her favorite room she has ever had.
Great location close to town. Excellent restaurant, hotel staff and bar tender. Everyone made us feel welcome and appreciated. Cute shops and restaurants nearby. Great PNW vibe to property!
Wonderful hotel on the water. Amazing views.
Great food service. Super nice and helpful staff.
The entire building decor was well done and different from other âregular â hotel rooms.
Would highly recommend.
Outdoor spaces could use some cleaning and sprucing up.
Had no idea this place existed last time I was there, but Iâm glad I stayed. The staff were always willing to help and made sure I was comfortable and taking care of. The room was great and had everything I needed.
Very uncomfortable experience. Staff spoke rudely towards me re my dog and check in although there was no posted info or specific info given about where to enter with a furball (I notified beforehand and literally stood outside w older/quiet pet and was still reprimanded). Reception barked at me condescendingly â..you donât have anyone?â (To watch my dog while I check in). No, I didnât. I was trying to live my best life and drive down 101 w my dog before my partner and I moved overseas. At any rate, while trying to call front desk from the room to order food I was repeatedly hung up on. As a novice (queer, brown, female) sailor I really wanted to like this place. They even had an inclusive flag hanging at the entrance. I do not recommend and I will not return. Not a great start to what turned out to be a quiet, lovely drive down the 101. They were my Only speed bump. I wish you well Bowline.
