Friendly but rather dated.

Receptionist on arrival was very helpful and friendly. Slight problem that one of the rooms allocated to us hadn’t been cleaned or made up but soon rectified. The rooms had a window facing out onto the walkway serving the other rooms. As such for privacy you invariably closed the curtains but the rooms were rather dark. No hot water during our stay due to a plumbing fault which was being repaired as we left. Staff were generally very helpful and friendly but with the rooms looking a bit dated it wasn’t a great stay.

We usually stay in namebrand hotels, for example Holiday Inn, or Hilton or Marriott. So this was unusual for us, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff was wonderful, pleasant welcoming.
