There was some sort of construction/maintenance in the adjoining room. All I heard, while waiting for my mother's surgery to finish, was banging, hammering and a very loud electric screw driver. No one told me this would be going on and it was very inconsiderate of them not to, at least, warn me first. Next morning, The cleaning staff decided to vacuum about 7:30am, which isn't an issue until they start slamming the vacuum into the walls with every stroke. The noise created by the staff was completely unnecessary. There are plenty of people that stay in this hotel that visit St. David's. While I realize you can't shut up the others patrons, the staff could help reduce their own noise to help. Sleeping and relaxing from a stressful situation was NOT what the hotel offered. Pretty disappointed in the staff, however the front desk clerks were perfectly lovely!

Upon arrival we were greeted by Ms. Penny and service was excellent, However when we arrived at our room we were surprised at the condition of the room itself. The bedding was stained on both beds, the carpet was also stained, and the room reeked of smoke. There was visible dust on the tables as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. I was shocked and asked Ms. Penny if we could relocate to a different and without hesitation she accommodated us. Although the new room was a bit cleaner than the previous I did not feel as if it would not meet anyone’s expectations. Thank you Ms. Penny for your kindness.

Everything in the room was either broken or damaged. The light fixture next to the bed was loose and would fall off in the middle on the night. The shower had broken a loose faucet. There was black mold in the bathroom next to the mirror and around the top of the shower wall. There was rust all over the door hinges in the bathroom.
