Very nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and went the extra mile all of the time. Room was very nice with a wonderful bathroom. Enjoyed the location with much to see, good shopping and a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Easy short trip to the cruise ship docks.

Great hotel and even better staff.

Five days in Barcelona as part of a larger 6 week European trip. This is a very nice boutique style hotel. While it is part of a chain through Spain it has a small hotel feel. We were welcomed by the staff who were absolutely there for anything you needed or questions you may have had. Special mention to Carmen at reception who just had the best personality and was spot on with her tapas bar and restaurant recommendations. She was there at the front for four of our five days and was fantastic. The entire staff was always going out of their way to make sure you had everything. Great attention to detail. Our room was very nice. Clean functional bathroom, modern walk-in shower, towels, robes. Nice shampoos, lotions and the like. King size bed was comfortable and a separate seating area off the small balconette was perfect for reading or sitting planning your day. The hotel is about 5 minute walk to the waterfront and 4 minute walk to the underground metro train system. Lots of tapas bars and great locally owned coffee shops and small business' in the area. We even encountered by chance a small spice shop that roasts their own coffee, nuts, etc with the oldest working oven in Europe. A cool find just wandering the streets nearby. I cannot speak to the breakfast offered at the hotel as my wife and I are up and out early types, but everything at this hotel was well done and I'm sure the breakfast was top notch too. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect, staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Everything we needed was near by. The area is quiet at night. Some might say too quiet. But perfectly located 5 mins train stop.

This hotel is a gem in gothic quarter. It’s close to everywhere you would want to go in Barcelona. It’s near to the the sea, las ramblas, la boqueria and several metro lines that will zip you up to La Plaça de Cataluña. It also has a rooftop pool with a waterfall, if you choose. There are plenty of umbrellas, loungers and large, comfy loveseats around the pool patio. My cozy room was on the main floor. There was a window looking out to a pretty courtyard and I could see the buffet in the restaurant too. The shower was big and had a waterfall shower head as well as a handheld sprayer. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. They immediately addressed an small things that came up and they were always friendly when I was coming or going. Catalonia Port Hotel is my new home away from home in Barcelona! ¡Muchas gracias!

Great place for an elderly couple.

We had an excellent experience . The hotel was immaculate. The breakfasts were delicious, bounteous, and varied. Especially good was the fresh squeezed orange juice. Reception staff was attentive and helpful.

Just returned from a very enjoyable five night stay at Hotel Catalonia Port with my 14 year old daughter. Great location within easy walking distance to La Rambla or the beach. Superior room booked was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable and blackouts amazing - so restful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Would recommend.

This hotel property was close to the port ( where we were meeting a group) so this was a very convenient location to many things we wanted to see. The other positive feature of this room was that it had good strong air conditioning. However the room was exceptionally dark with only one tiny window looking in to a dark corridor, so that made it feel claustrophobic .
