Would not stay there microwave and fridge did not work. You can see outside when door was shut we had to put towels in the door to stop the wind coming through.

We never even went to our room. People were loitering around the building, areas were boarded up. Three men followed me and my teenage daughter into the lobby where the desk clerk loudly announced our room number 3 seperate times. During my attempt to check in one of these men proceeded to move a vehicle so close to mine it was difficult to get back in my car.
I have never experienced anything so terrifying in my entire life.

Room was disgusting! No smoke alarm, our bathtub was clogged and there was mold in the bathroom. We asked the front desk to switch rooms to which we were told only managers can approve that and he was gone until Monday. There were bugs all over the room and it smelled so musty and reeked or smoke!

My bathroom was dirty & filthy! There was a strong urine smell in the bathroom! Toilet lid broken off with urine stains all over the bowl. The bath tub & shower curtain was filthy & black with dirt and grime! The bathroom door and walls had dirty hand prints all over! The only good thing in the room was the nicely made beds. I complained about the bathroom and the owner offered to spray the room with air freshner. I requested another room. He honored my request, however the second room floor had never been swept and the hot water knob was stripped! Once I got it on, it was on full force and would not turn off! The night attendant "Bridgett" was very nice, it took her about 20 minutes to get turn the hot water off with a pair of plyers and a screw driver. Apparently, this wasn't the first time this has happened for she sighed, "Oh, that hot water knob always get stuck". She offered me the opportunity to walk 7 doors down to take a shower in another room. Travelodge is under the brand name, "Wyndham" whom I've always thought held high standard for their properties, but not anymore! Stay away from Wyndham properties for their standards are as worst as living in a dumpster! Oh, yeah, upon check-out, there was another angry guest whom had changed rooms 3 times and each one was filthier than the one before! We were both yelling for the owner to come out of his office, where he was hiding with the locked, and he never came out, so I laid my key on the counter and left after 20 minu

Benton Harbor Nightmare
Pros:Nothing
Cons:I believe it is beyond help.
Location:Wouldn't know, got out of the area as soon as the sun came up.
No words could explain what a filthy falling apart dump this is. I can't believe it's even open and certainly can't understand why Motel 6 allows their Brand on this property. On top of that, the only employee we talked to was unbelievably rude.

Waste of money
We booked this room on the fly and we're looking for something affordable. Driving through the parking lot there were people drinking and having a good time outside the doors and the building/landscaping just looked run down.
After getting in the room the floor was dirty, there were stains on the ceiling, and they had painted over some red writing on one of the walls. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and didn't even look like it had been cleaned after the previous person had left it, there were pubic hairs in the shower and hair all over the floor. The toilet tipped when you sat on it.
We needed extra towels as we had 4 people in the room and when we went to the office to get more we were told they were out and were given hand towels.
Would not recommend this motel nor will we ever stay here again! We paid for two nights and checked out after one.

Won't Ever Stay at a Motel 6 Again
Pros:Nothing but we refused to let it ruin our trip.

Location:Not much close by unless you don't mind jumping in the car then there are some beautiful lighthouses and beaches on Lake Michigan.
My husband and I were very disappointed, this was our first getaway in a long time and it was for our 28th wedding anniversary.
We paid for a queen size bed, got a double (which was on a queen platform), the room was also SUPPOSE to have a microwave, it didn't. They seem to think that a bedspread is supposed to be used as blanket and when we asked for an extra blanket the person at the front desk couldn't be bothered to get one since there wasn't one near the front desk. The pool was closed good thing since it was green and disgusting probably hadn't been open all year and if it was they got lazy and decided not to keep it clean. The hotel in general needs a lot of upkeep type work, seals broken on doors and such. Coffee in office area, not unless it is hiding and invisible. They also clam to clean the rooms everyday, but it was clearly obvious all they did was empty the garbage. Towels and wash cloths that were left in a pile for washing were taken but not replaced, there was still sand all over the floor and bed platform that had gotten brought in unknowingly in the cuffs of pants. Simply put do not plan on doing much of anything that involves the so called wifi connection.
