The Pines Ocoee riverside log cabin with jacuzzi tub
Summary:
Discover the perfect hideaway on the shores of the famous Ocoee River, The Pines at Welcome Valley Village, a Timberroot Rustic Retreat.
Our most private riverside cabin, The Pines has a large porch overlooking the river, complete with a 6-foot porch swing and dining table for six. The Pines can comfortably sleep a total of seven guests and features a private outdoor fire pit with comfortable seating by the riverside.
The Space:
Welcome Valley Village consists of six beautiful cabins and three glamping wagons on a 17-acre gated property, surrounded by lush forests, winding trails, and over 900 feet of private riverfront on the world-famous Ocoee River. This property is owned and operated by Timberroot, a small, family-owned business that specializes in creating rustic spaces that allow you to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature.
Whether it's a family vacation, destination wedding, romantic weekend getaway, or a work trip, The Pines at Welcome Valley Village has everything you need to make the most of your time on the Ocoee River.
The Pines is an 850-square-foot single-story log cabin with vaulted ceilings. It is made of square logs linked together in the corners with dove-tailed notches in the style of traditional Tennessee pioneer cabins.
You'll love the Native American motif and stacked stone fireplace, whose hearth continues around the two-person jacuzzi nestled in the corner of the living room beside the fireplace.
The cabin can comfortably sleep a total of 7 guests in one queen bed in a downstairs bedroom and another full-size bed plus two twin beds in the loft and a full-size futon in the living room. The cabin has one full bath with a shower and double vanity.
Wander a few feet down the wooded path down to the riverside deck and pavilion, perfect for swimming, fishing, tubing, or simply enjoying the view. Then spend the evening's fireside, roasting marshmallows at your private riverside fire pit or curled up with a good book indoors next to the mountain stone fireplace.
We are pleased to allow dogs at The Pines under specific terms and conditions. See our house rules section for more information.
Guest Access:
Your cabin features a lock box at the door for easy, self-service check-in. Your code to the box will arrive as check-in approaches.
Beyond your cabin, Welcome Valley Village is yours to explore. Wander 17 forested acres bordered by the Ocoee River along beautifully landscaped trails and shared common areas. Head down to the riverside dock to swim, fish, or drop in a tube, SUP, or kayak. The Riverside Pavilion is open to all guests except when reserved for private events. We just ask that you be respectful of fellow guests as you enjoy the property.
The Neighborhood:
Welcome Valley Village sits in the heart of Tennessee's Ocoee River corridor â where the Cherokee National Forest meets world-class whitewater. The Ocoee River hosted the 1996 Olympic kayak and canoe events, and today it's one of the best places in the Southeast for rafting, tubing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Beyond the river, there's no shortage of adventure. Hike to Benton Falls, mountain bike the Tanasi and Chilhowee trail systems, go horseback riding through the forest, or soar through the treetops on a zipline course. Parksville Lake is just down the road for swimming, fishing, and boating. For a scenic day trip, drive the Cherohala Skyway or head to the charming twin towns of Copperhill, TN and McCaysville, GA. Chattanooga and its attractions â Rock City, Ruby Falls, the Tennessee Aquarium â are about an hour away. Out here, the adventure doesn't stop at the front door.

This will be our forever weekend getaway when we raft The Ocoee. Thank you for the hospitality and sharing your beautiful home. It exceeded our expectations. Only thing I would head is heavier blankets for those that are staying and have family that likes to keep it cooler at bedtime.
I booked this place because it was within the travel time that was comfortable for us to drive leaving straight after work. It was my significant other's 40th birthday, and he had been stressed recently, so a relaxing fishing week-end was what I had in mind. He was very pleased with his surprise. He didn't leave the property and opted to just relax on the porch and swing seat. In all it was nice to disconnect from everything and everyone. We did get a little lost when first entering the area. I feel the map needed to be better orientated or else the driveway/road openings have better signs for which cabin/cabins are on them, but other than that the overall stay and location was wonderful. We were secluded, but still less than 10 min from a gas station and close even to a grocery store for anything we had forgotten to bring. I'm pretty sure we'll be back again sometime, if not for another quick getaway, then for a family reunion of some sort.
Our visit was short but thoroughly enjoyable. The property was exactly as described in pictures. Super clean and well appointed. We would definitely visit again when in the area.
Great little place. Was lacking cleaning supplies and some kitchen utensils. Just make sure to bring everything you need. The location was amazing. It was super nice to sit by the river at night. It was a great place to bring my dog plenty of room for her to run.
Easy to find. Perfect location. Private and right on the water. Management was prompt with responses and questions. Highly recommended and we will be back!
We were visting Cleveland, TN for our daughter's graduation from Lee University. Myself, my wife, my daughter and my grandson stayed at cabin. My daughter and her husband from Cleveland visited us but did not stay with us. There is no more peaceful setting than sitting on that back porch swing in the morning. Great in the afternoon also watching the rafters go by on the river. My wife and daughter jumped in the river with tubes I had and I picked them up later when they called. They had a great time. Cabin is very enjoyable.
We loved The Pines cabin at Welcome Valley Village. The cabin was nice and clean and very relaxing! We enjoyed exploring the property, fishing, and making smores at the fire pit! The property is wonderful for multiple families that want to vacation together but not share a cabin. All the cabin and covered wagons are walking distance apart but you feel very secluded. The best of all worlds!
We had planned to do a lot in Chattanooga and did not plan very well for that since it took an hour to get into Chattanooga from the cabin. That however was my fault for not researching the distance better.
We definitely plan to stay again and have more family stay also!!
Great cabin! The property down to the river is pretty. The location was perfect for us to go rafting on the Ocoee. The checkout was 10am which did not affect us since we had to be out earlier anyway, but seems 11am is standard.
The cabin was even more than advertised !! Such a peaceful place and the relaxing river just a short walk away. Kitchen was well stocked to cook about anything. We will definitely be back.
