A historic treasure in Southern Maine, very unique and spacious

The Sealander House was built by the City's Mayor in 1926. This historical home is full of old world charm, huge rooms, huge windows and drenched in sunlight. It features hardwood floors, a working fireplace, pocket doors, French doors, a huge dining room, 2 modern kitchens, 2 gas grills, one on the back porch off the kitchen and one on the 2nd floor deck, inviting porches and decks, a beautiful cupola. Lots of privacy with established gardens. Across the Street from Clifford Park. An amazing home perfect for groups/celebrations.

{What I am not interested in hosting drunken events with associated dangerous
behaviors like partying and vomiting on the roof, public urination and large numbers of attendees not accounted for in the reservation (12 guests listed and 60 are at the house) with associated destruction of my vintage house and property. This has only happened to me a couple of times but it's been heartbreaking. Not to mention my neighbors get upset. Most people are absolutely wonderful and are very kind and respectful to my property. I just want it to be clear to all since I have had this problem in the past.

I have a Eufy security system at The Sealander House. There are 4 cameras and they are all external. They are facing the doors to the house, the front door, the back door, the 2nd floor deck door and the balcony door. They are not on all the time. They are triggered by motion. My favorite pics so far have been wildlife. When I do not have guests the house is empty. I do not live close by so I find this security helpful and reassuring. I hope you do too.

The property has lots of establish trees and perennials and so so many birds. It feels like a bird sanctuary. I love this. You feel very private even though you are still in the city. It has a large front lawn and I have a fire pit on the front lawn.

I have a large assortment of beach gear too for your use including a beach umbrella, beach buggy, beach chairs, beach toys including boogie boards, and beach towels.

I really want my guests to have everything they need to have a great time. Have fun.

Ideal house for us!
The Sealander House was perfect for a get-away workspace for our non-profit board of directors to hold our retreat. There were plenty of comfortable places for us to gather, work, discuss, and connect. We were all able to have our own beds (all eight of us)! The house is light, bright, huge but still cozy, and ideal for us. In fact, we would love to come back again next year!

Historic Gem
Our family of 15 just stayed at the historic Sealander house and had a great time. The 6 bedrooms and 4 pull-out sofas provided more than enough sleeping options. Being 3 stories tall and temps near 90 all week I thought the house would be uncomfortably hot but AC units in the bedrooms and on each floor kept things very cool. Laura responded quickly to any problems we had which made for a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this house for a large group looking to visit Southern Maine as a matter of fact the family already booked for 2024!

Excellent stay, accomodating host
We absolutely loved this old charmer of a house! The property is located in town, but it felt so remote and peaceful due to the trees surrounding the property. The house felt like walking around in a New England dream. The owner was so kind and accomodating and allowed for a little earlier check in as most of us were arriving at a variety of times. There were no crazy close down expectations when leaving. This property is close to so many activities and an absolute must stay!

Sealander House
Great home for family of 13 ages from 8 to 80. Everyone immediately felt at home here. We were greeted by beautiful flowers-lilacs, peonies & irises upon arrival. Lilies and daisies bloomed later. Plenty comfortable, clean bedrooms and bathrooms. The large sunroom, balcony, front porch, upper deck and dining room provided great gathering places. The one month reservation allowed time for trips to northern and southern attractions. Great vacation location.

Charming, Spacious Victorian
We spent several days with family at this lovely Victorian mansion in preparation for a family wedding. The accommodations were quite spacious with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and two kitchen areas, providing ample room for all of us (including two youngsters). The kitchen was well stocked and the house very clean. It is an amazing house, with quite a history, close to Saco and across the street from a beautiful park. The owner was super helpful and hospitable. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a group of around 30 family members and friends to attend my daughter’s baby shower.
The house was perfect, we really enjoyed the spacious dining room and lovely parlors. It was a sunny day so we also were able to enjoy time the upstairs deck and porches. I love all of the trees and bushes, it make the property very private.
