I came in expecting a much better experience after previously staying in more budget hotels. While the hotel itself was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful, it just didn’t live up to expectations. The central location was great, but the breakfast was underwhelming, and the dining area felt far too hot, crowded, and noisy to enjoy. To top it off, I was woken in the middle of the night by reception because someone, clearly drunk and at the wrong door, claimed they were trying to get into my room. It was frustrating and really disrupted my stay.

The staff are very friendly and helpful right from the start. The room, which was an accessible one had plenty of room and a great wet-room bathroom, all of which were spotless. The only negative there was, was one of the lifts wasn't working. Not the hotel's fault but apparently the engineers were having trouble fixing it. As it was a busy weekend with a concert in town, you had to wait ages for one which was a bit of a painthough so no complaints!

The room was a big room at the end of the corridor with queen bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed had a metal protruded out at the bed end which made my knee got bruise while I did not notice it. The toilet was designed as a disabled toilet with handles and big space. However, when using the shower, water all splashed onto the floor because no curtain and no one step higher. And we do not need the disable facilities.

Room was lovely, giant mirror, giant TV, very spacious. We had a twin room with "single" beds - the beds were actually nearly double bed size and very comfortable. The range of food at the free breakfast was so extensive that we were spoilt for choice - the smell of the freshly cooking waffles was heavenly. The on site car park was so brilliant - it was an extra £15 per night, but very good value really for the location and security for the vehicle. Would absolutely definitely stay again - it would be my first choice of hotel for centre of Birmingham. We loved it! Thank you to all the staff.

I’ve stayed at the Hampton by Hilton on Broad Street in Birmingham four or five times over the past year, and every visit has been consistently excellent. The service is always second to none the staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely on top of everything. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and great value for the price, with breakfast included as well. The bathrooms are modern and spotless, which I really appreciate after long days of travelling. If I had to make one suggestion, it would simply be to update the TVs to newer or smart models so guests have a few more viewing options. It’s definitely not a major issue, but it’s the only thing I could think of that would elevate the rooms even further. Overall, a brilliant hotel for the price, and one I keep returning to. Highly recommend.
