Well done to the staff

The hotel was extremely busy . The staff did really well managing check in breakfast and bar service and should be commended . There was a difficult group at a wedding and they appeared to manage them with efficiency and without fuss

Great stay but my only complaint is check in…. I’m a disabled traveler and use crutches , I stood in a long Que for a long time yet no members of staff offered any help to me. There should be a disability check in. I stay here year after year and nothing changes.

I was woken up around 3am by someone trying to open my room door. It was a very distressing experience — I felt unsafe and unsettled. When I contacted reception to report it, the staff simply replied, “Unfortunately there are a lot of drunk people at the hotel tonight,” and took no further action to check or reassure me.

Absolute disaster. Not what i expect from a hilton and definitely not a suite, just a slightly bigger room. Didnt even have a fridge. It should not he sold as a suite. My £100 stay at the holiday inn last week was better than this and i paid £490 for one night. A suite should be exactly that, a separate bedroom with a seating area and a dining table and a fridge. Dirty toilets, rooms not cleaned properly, brown water from taps, cracked window panes, heating not working, cigarette butts left on balcony. The place needs an update and a review of standards. We were moved up to a penthouse because of the brown water when running a bath and had the same problem in the new room. We spent most of the evening with maintenance men in both rooms. It came with access to the executive lounge, which was a token effort. There was 'hot food' which consisted of chicken pops and spring rolls. There was a bit of cheese a couple of voluvents and some salad, pretty poor show. At least i managed a few bottles of beer. Only 2 lifts, and one was out of order, that was a pain getting up and down to the room. Absolutely unacceptable and I'm submitting a full complaint to Hilton for a full refund and them some for a completely ruined couple of days for my wifes birthday.

There appeared to be too many reception staff which were trainees not clear precise details of room wifi, no details of site facilities. opened water can in the room cleaner did not remove .Terrible noise from the shower glass door when opened and closed as if it was going to break on top of you .The main restaurant Bright Smith was closed very disappointing .

Lovely stay

Always a pleasant stay here whilst at conference. Everything I need in the room and breakfast is very well laid out with an abundance of options. If eating at the bar for an evening meal though service can be slow, so don’t wait for staff at the table order your food at the bar!
