We love this hotel. It is always clean and everyone is so friendly. We love the little efficiency apartment Style King bedroom. Super cozy and perfect for a couple. We come here a lot to go to UAB and it is close to that and also close to multiple restaurants. All within walking distance.

There was no shuttle to The Residence at the airport. Had to use a different hotel shuttle. Upon arrival the night clerk was rude when I rang the door for assistance as the sign said to. She was rude & abrasive because she had to walk 40 ft from the desk to the door. I had no room key at the time. Another night clerk got got grumpy when I asked for a business card with the address & phone number of the hotel. The hotel itself is clean & comfortable. Some of the desk clerks could use a refresher course in customer service in my opinion. My only issue with breakfast was that it was late one morning when I went down & the selections were mislabeled as to what they were.

The door to our hotel room 220 was difficult to open and close. We also had an issue with the toilet stopping up. Lastly the elevator smelled sour.
