We never had housekeeping for the 4 days we were there. When they decided to change our sheets, we were still in bed and they did not knock before entering. We had to ask for towels in the room, and for pool towels. They also do not tell you that they will charge you the pet deposit and incidentals every night you are there. When we asked, they told us it would be reversed on check out. We will find out when that will happen. Overall, we most likely will pay the extra $20 a night to stay at a different hotel.

Overall hotel was clean and comfortable. It was very busy and I think it overwhelmed the breakfast staff. Nice hotel, the town itself was not the nicest.

2nd excellent stay at Microtel in Bonnyville

This was my second stay at this location. Most recently I stayed with my teenage son while attending a hockey camp for the Pontiacs from April 4-7. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was great every morning. We had packed food from home to save on $$ eating out while in Bonnyville, but discovered on Saturday mid day that our fridge was not working and all our food was spoiled and some ice cream we purchased had melted. As we passed by the front desk to go get lunch from a restaurant instead of eating our spoiled heat-ups, we let the front desk know. The staff member was very apologetic. When we returned to our room, there was a nice handwritten note from the staff, the fridge was getting cold, and we had free snacks, fresh fruit, bottled waters and a $25 dollar gift card. Excellent response to an event that wasn't really anyone's fault.
