"What a beautiful place to stay - yes it's a bit of a drive getting there but so very worth it...relaxing, peaceful and such a stunning location. Lying in bed watching the sunset over the hills was a highlight for me. Really enjoyed exploring the estuary and walking along the beach admiring all the other beach houses nestled in the bush. Met a few locals out walking who were very friendly and happy to chat. Collingwood is worth driving to for a meal - whilst not many options, the tavern does really good fish and chips and there was a great little food truck with a nice lady selling falafel salad bowls that were delicious. For good hikes in the area, Anna the lovely host suggested the Kaituna Track - walked to The Forks and back, absolutely stunning. Loved staying in this bach - highly recommend"

"This is a wonderful cottage. The garden is lovely and has a creek running through it. ideal if you want a base for exploring Kahurangi National Park and Farewell Spit, but would also be a great place to spend some time relaxing in the garden."

"Fabulous beach house with wonderful views, and we loved watching the tide come and go from our windows. The kitchen was very well equipped, the house had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay, and was very clean and breezy. I would highly recommend this house for a couple or a family, since there are 3 bedrooms. "

"Die Bilder auf der Homepage sehen super einladend aus. Wir haben uns darauf gefreut, auf unserer Reise auch einmal etwas länger an einem schönen Ort zu verweilen. Als wir jedoch angekommen sind, haben wir ein Haus angetroffen, welches nicht mehr gepflegt wird. Mit Ausnahme der Küche und dem Bett, war es teils klebrig staubig und es hatte überall Spinnweben. Es schien auch, dass das Häuschen Monate nicht mehr bewohnt war. Offensichtlich hat man kurz vor unserer Ankunft die Küche oberflächlich geputzt und das Bett frisch angezogen. Das Haus, der Balkon und der Garten scheinen verwahrlost. So etwas haben wir in Neuseeland bis jetzt nie angetroffen. Wir entschlossen uns, die 4 Tage erst gar nicht anzutreten. Wir nahmen sofort mit Bookabach Kontakt auf. Wir wollen diese Situation zu diesem Preis nicht akzeptieren. Sie konnten uns gleichentags nicht helfen und wir mussten allein für eine neue Unterkunft sorgen. Es hätte umgehend jemand vorbeikommen müssen, um die Situation zu klären, was nicht geschah. Wir haben uns entschieden, nicht zu bleiben, weil wir uns in unseren Ferien wohl fühlen wollen. Wir haben der Bewertung (8.6 excellent) vertraut. Nun sind wir in Verhandlung mit Bookabach, dass sie uns das im Vertrauen im Voraus bezahlte Geld zurückzahlen. Der Kundendienst zeigte bei den vielen Telefongesprächen zwar immer Verständnis, aber war letztlich nicht wirklich hilfsbereit. Es ist für uns eine grosse Enttäuschung. Wir hoffen auf Fairness. "
