Bring ear plugs

I recognize this is a budget hotel and that is what I signed up for. However, I was placed in a bottom floor room right around the corner from the lobby where I could hear everything in the lobby from the after hours doorbell going off continuously all night, clickity clacks on the floor from suitcases and custodial bins going by, to hearing loud bass outside my window, honking, and hollering at 1am. The walls are so thin I could legit hear my neighbors cell phone vibrating on his nightstand. I know it was a he because I could hear him talking clear as a bell. I will say the bed was clean, the staff was friendly and bed was comfortable. Just bring noise cancellation head phones if you want to sleep, or ask for a room on the second or third floor away from the front of the building.

The room was clean and staff is friendly and helpful. The property was clean it’s just not an ideal location. A lot of people walking a loitering on the main road.

Car next to where we parked had front right window smashed in, when we were in the room it was raining and rain came through the window, and walls were paper thin. When I asked for help because of the window leak, guy said he could do nothing and that it was “normal” when rain was heavy. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful, but felt very unsafe in the hotel.

Ok stay

Room was comfortable and clean. Nothing fancy. My daughter flew in 11pm and was meeting me there and she was a little freaked out by the “sketchy crowd” hanging out in the lobby. She used to live in Charlotte and later told me we were in the “worst part of town”. There were no eggs at breakfast. Breakfast attendant said she ran out and hoped the truck was delivering more later in the day. We just left and got breakfast elsewhere.

This was a nice hotel until I found out they charged me $34 dollars to check in a measly one hour early and NEVER mentioned that at check in. Scratching this off the list of hotels to use when I’m in town.
