Waterfront Home - Large Pool, Boat Dock + Screened Boat House & Pool Cabana

The Badger Lake House is a one of a kind waterfront property with a private, salt water pool on Lake Norman. The large screened in boat house by the floating boat dock is perfect for hanging out right on the lake and the covered pool house with ceiling fan, outdoor sectional, grill and full fridge makes you never want to leave the pool deck. Bring your own boat or easily rent one from the many marinas near by.

This 7 bedroom home sleeps 18 and has plenty of room for the whole family! The master suite on the main level boasts a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub with french doors to a balcony overlooking the pool and lake. Upstairs you will find 4 more bedrooms with the following sleeping arrangements: 1) king bed, 2) queen bed, 3) queen & twin bed 4) queen bed & day bed + trundle. The walkout lower level features another large king bedroom with great lake views. A fun 7th bedroom/movie room on the lower level has an additional 3 twin beds, perfect for the kids.

Cooking for a large group will not be a problem with two full kitchens. The main kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, double oven and a 10 foot granite island for gathering. Off the main kitchen is a large screened in porch spanning the whole length of the home for everyone to enjoy lake living at its finest. The walkout basement has another full kitchen and large living space. Including the pool house fridge, there are 3 full size refrigerators and a wine cooler on the property!

Sheets and bath towels provided. Please bring your own pool towels. Beach/pool towels NOT provided.

Pool is heated April, May, September & October. We typically do not run the heater during rentals outside of those dates due to much cooler outdoor temperatures during the winter.

This is one of the best properties we have ever rented! Fully stocked kitchen with a cupboard full of spices. We thoroughly enjoyed the huge pool, the pool House, the dock with fishing poles included, and the kayaks. We would definitely come back again.

Wonderful Family Time

We had a great week at Badger House. There was plenty of space to spread out and little nooks if you needed a quiet place to read. The basement with it's 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen worked out great for my son and his 2 young children. The pool was awesome and is the largest one we've ever had at a rental. The outdoor restroom and shower came in very handy. We rented a pontoon for the week, so we spent most of our time either on the lake or in the pool. The owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the refrigerator. Overall, a smooth week and a wonderful time with our entire family of 14.

Our family had an amazing week reconnecting with each other in this beautiful house right on Lake Norman. From the spacious interior and plenty of places to sleep to the pool, pool house, and boat house, there were enough places for everyone to enjoy our time together. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need, the beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood was perfect for morning runs or walks. We especially loved the kayaks and the pool. We would stay here again!

The Badger House....hot...hot....hot

House is huge, well appointed and clean. So large that there were a couple of rooms that our family of 12 never saw. Speaking of large.....biggest private pool I have ever seen....complete with diving board. Also made use of the private dock for our pontoon rental. There were a couple of heatwave-related issues that the host's dealt with in short order. Overall, house was a huge hit with our family.

Great Time on The Lake

We had such a great time at this lake house! We were meant to go to Asheville, but due to the damage from the hurricane, we had to switch plans last minute and we are so glad we did. We had a family of 17 ranging from 4 to 75 and everyone had the best time. From the pool, to the kayaking, to the fishing, the rented pontoon, we had no reason to go anywhere! Great communication with the owners, and now the whole family can’t wait for round two at Lake Norman.

Great House and Outdoor Space

The house is beautiful with everything you need. There were 15 of us ranging from 82 to 2 years old. The outdoor space was the best we’ve seen from a huge pool with slide and diving board and plenty of spaces to be out of the sun but still poolside. The screened in porches were plentiful and were great for dinners and late night card playing.

Amazing! We loved The Badger Lake House!

GREAT HOUSE!!! We had an amazing time! A wonderful week! The house was absolutely perfect! What a gorgeous property! The outside is beautifully landscaped and the interior is beautifully decorated. We loved all the space. We had 15 people in our party and there was plenty of room. We loved the comfortable couches for lounging and the dinning room table for games each night! The 2 kitchens were amazing and well stocked! We cooked in breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had everything we needed! We enjoyed the outdoor bar seating at the railing, a really nice place to eat! The pool was a favorite of all! It was clean and a great size! We loved it! We spent 8 hrs in the pool each day! We loved the pool house! I mean talk about convenience, we stocked the refrigerator with everything we needed. The lake was lovely, so warm and easy to get into from the beautifully carpeted dock! We also fished daily from the dock and caught some big catfish. Everything was thought of in this house and we will definitely rent again! Emily was lovely to work with!! We loved the Badger Lake House! It is a perfect spot to bring families with every convenience available! Fantastic vacation house. Five stars.

House, pool, neighborhood and lake are beautiful. Owner sent a comprehensive list of area attractions and amenities, as well as detailed checkout instructions. Both were appreciated. House is very clean and well-kept. Multiple sitting areas for people to find a little alone time for reading. Communication with owner was excellent. A windstorm knocked over a piece of pool furniture causing it to break (always get the damage insurance!) and Emily couldn’t have been more understanding and polite. One of the best, if not THE best VRBO, we’ve booked. we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Lake Side Home

Emily was an incredible host . Responded to our questions within minutes. The power went out and before we knew it there were several flashlights delivered! That’s what we call 5 star service! The house is fully equipped with the essentials needed for your stay . We all enjoyed the huge swimming pool and poolside cabana that included a TV. The grandkids enjoyed fishing, kayaking and tubing on the water . It was a wonderful family week .

Super fun property!!

Very clean, check in was really easy, all the amenities were available and organized, little things like having spices in the kitchen, some toiletries and showering items, Roku TVs were a hit, pool was super nice and warm! Only feedback is the top railing looks like it could be tightened (is a little wobbly), add pool lights, and maybe more / better / organized fishing gear.

Best Week Ever!! Badger Lake House!

This house was perfect for a wonderful family lake week! 8 adults and 6 children all 5 and under enjoyed every minute with plenty of room to spread out inside and out! The pool is very large and the diving board and slide were such a hit! The outdoor grills were very clean! Everything we needed was provided for in the kitchen! Beds were very comfortable and the dock was a great place for the grandchildren to fish. Add a pontoon boat and the week was complete. Emily could not have been more professional and quick to reply to all questions! We would highly recommend this house to anyone!

Beautiful Home

Emily thank you for having us and making our lake Norman vacation memorable. Your home is beautiful and the pool was beautiful. When we had to reach out to Emily regarding a storm that came through, she was responsive and prompt with solutions. The house was clean and enough space for our large family. We never felt on top of each other.

The property was very large, much larger than it looks. It was very clean upon check in. There is an abundance of porches and outside spaces. The pool was heated, warm, and cleaners came twice during the week. Interacting with the owners was seem less, they responded very quickly to questions.

Another great August vacation!

So I have to state that I am a beach and ocean lover. We’ve done the beach from NJ to NC. But my husband grew up on the Delaware River with motor boats and water skis. Our grandkids were suddenly old enough to try water sports (8-13) so we decided to try Lake Norman. The house was great for the 10 of us plus my sister and brother in law and her daughter and husband. Added up to 14! Since it was our first visit to Lake Norman, we had no idea of the size and location of the house. It worked out well for skiing, knee-boarding and tubing. Hardly any other boats around. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and fishing off the dock. The adults and kids loved the pool and the pool house was a great place to sit with a good book. Being one of the major cooks for the week along with my daughter and daughter-in-law, we loved that the kitchen was so well equipped! Best house yet. My husband showed he can still ski though the trick skis from his teenage years was a bridge too far. My son proved he could still slalom. Yes, it was a great week.
