Killeen also contains the Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport (GRK), about 9 miles from the town center, and the town serves as a transportation hub for Bell County. Transportation from GRK
Flights to Killeen land at Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport, where you can hop on the Hill Country Transit District bus service (there are eight routes in town) or take an airport shuttle to your choice of Killeen hotels. The Hill Country Transit District buses also offer regional service to the nearby towns of Temple, Copperas Cove, and Harker Heights, which are also served by the Killeen airport. If you're traveling outside of this regional radius, you'll be best served by renting a car straight out of the airport.
