You wouldn't like to get caught out with a hefty cab fare to your hotel after flying into San Juan. The city is home to two airports. How to get through airport security fast when traveling to San Juan
If you like the idea of spending more time at the airport cafes and less time navigating your way through security on your way to San Juan, follow these handy tips:

  • Keep your boarding pass and travel ID easily accessible. They'll be the first things you'll be asked for by security staff.
  • It's useful to know that belts with metal buckles can set off the body scanner's alarms. If you have one on, you may be told to take it off before continuing.
  • Laptops, digital cameras and other electronic devices must be placed in separate bins to be X-rayed.
