We have come to this resort many times but it seems to be getting less desirable to come. They kicked kids and teenagers out of the indoor pool last night. I can understand kicking them out of the indoor spa itself for the adults but not the pool. So if it rains hard, the kids must be swimming outside? That’s not family friendly. They also took a long time to provide pool towels and bath robes.

For $378 per night, we expected at least a clean and comfortable stay. Instead, we got the oldest, most worn-out room imaginable. The bathtub and sink were filled with long black hair, the surfaces were dusty, and the entire room felt unclean and neglected. The room was missing robes. We called reception and were told they would be delivered shortly. After waiting 40 minutes with no response in the room, we went down ourselves, only to be told again to “wait in the room.” Another 30 minutes passed, and still nothing, while the pools were about to close in an hour. For almost $400 a night, guests deserve a spotless room, functioning amenities, updated furniture, prompt service, and at the very least, warm water for a morning shower. Instead, our entire family had to take freezing cold showers before checkout, which was absolutely unacceptable for the price we paid.

We stayed in the Cooper building. Our room was old. When we entered our room, we usually inspect it. To our dismay we saw hair on our washroom door & in the sink. Our friends (3 other couples) stayed in the newer wing & their rooms were so much nicer & had a balcony. I’m so disappointed because we paid the same price!!!! Only good thing about our stay was the hot springs.

Always a nice stay. Hotel is dated but clean. Hot spring pools could have used more attention. There were a lot of leaves and debris blown in from the surrounding trees.

The hotel is a little bit old but still keeps good vibes. Rooms are okay considering their age. Would be nice to see this place renovated a bit. Breakfast is not included but for 30 CAD is actually enough, considering is a buffet and a lady cooking omelettes as you want. Pools are great even when there is cold weather and raining. Front desk was courteous and accommodating all the time.

Our room smelt. The front desk staff told us some wrong information and were not very nice. The line-ups were long at the front desk. There was no safe at the front desk for valuables or in the room. They were installing a new fire alarm system and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night both nights that we stayed with no staff trained to know what to do or what was going on. There was no housekeeping. The dinner restaurant was closed but you could get food in the bar/ restaurant. The food was great there and the staff were very good. Tea and cookies were served in the dining room at 4 pm in the afternoon at no charge was very nice. We should have gotten some kind of discount or refund but no one at the front desk was apparently qualified to do that! Very disappointing stay.
