We have come to this resort many times but it seems to be getting less desirable to come. They kicked kids and teenagers out of the indoor pool last night. I can understand kicking them out of the indoor spa itself for the adults but not the pool. So if it rains hard, the kids must be swimming outside? That’s not family friendly. They also took a long time to provide pool towels and bath robes.

The hotel was old and run down, they didn’t keep the lobby bathroom clean and stocked, no one was monitoring the pool. Not enough lawn chairs for the pool area

Don’t recommend.

Staff didn’t seem friendly/welcoming at check in. The rug has an odour to it, definitely should be replaced. Kind of run down hotel. Husband pointed out mold on the back of the bathroom door. Wasn’t too impressed. The bedding was okay and comfy, other than that nothing special.

Fabulous family getaway location

This is a perfect family getaway location. Hot springs are amazing and fun for all ages. We go every year and it’s always a wonderful time filled with memories. This year was especially lovely.

Check in experience was intimidating. Receptionist was very rude. We missed some stuff in a room, asked reception, never got it. Hotel and hot spring pools are perfect, but reception spoiles it all.

We had a two-bedroom condo - very nice, very comfortable, great kitchen, although it was missing quite a few items that were on the checklist. Since we wanted to cook, we called and the staff brought most of the items the same day. Same with some repairs that needed doing. Excellent staff and accommodations. The elevator at our lodge, Palliser, was broken and so was the ice machine. An inconvenience to be sure. The resort itself was pretty dead. We had planned to go to the grocery store, but it was permanently closed, so we ate at the only open restaurant. It was just okay. A couple nights later we decided to go there again. Closed up on a Wednesday! Not one thing at the resort was open. Luckily, Golden is a great town and the drive isn't long. Golden itself was a perfect spot from which to visit several national parks.

This is our second time at the property. It’s a bit dated but comfortable. The hot springs are great. We did have to call for robes as our room didn’t have any. There should also be a mat for the tub as the bottom is curved and it’s easy to slip. The restaurant food and area were great. We will definitely stay again.

The toilet didn’t flush and stopper in the bathroom sink did not work. The staff were courteous, and the food in the Copper room was excellent. They had complimentary tea and cookies in the afternoon.
