All weekend the heating/AC unit emitted a loud, metal-grinding noise. It started Friday night, a couple of hours after our check in and continued intermittently throughout the night. It stopped sometime in the early morning only to start up again around 9am. I called the front desk and the person who answered (Black male) literally said that he would see if Maintenance could look at it before they left for the day. No one came. We did not get any rest the whole weekend because of that blasted noise! We could have slept in my vehicle & got better sleep. On Sunday during my checkout, I told the person on duty what occurred. She commiserated; saw who was on duty & stated that it sounds like the unit is going out {DUHHHH!}, while I still had to pay full price for 2 restless nights. I am not happy and would rather not return but for some reason my partner likes going there. I hope this next stay is way better than the last one or I won’t go back & he’ll deal with it.

We were there for a 4 night stay for a family member admitted to the Cleveland Clinic main campus. Hotel was under-staffed (icy, snowy, slippery (dangerous) entryway, was told housekeeping and maintenance leave at 5pm). Facility in poor condition (no heat in front entry/lobby our entire stay, bathroom floor and bathroom was freezing, no heat was getting into the bathroom tub did not drain first day, reported it to lobby, was clear when we returned at end of day, tub did not drain second day, reported to lobby, was NOT clear when we returned at end of day, strong smell of marijuana at all times in lobby, elevator, hallways, only coffee was available the first morning, was told food truck had not arrived, hallway garbage bins overflowing with trash by end of day). Due to the tub not draining second day in a row, requested a new room for the remainder of our stay. Was given a key to an alternate room but the shower rod was broken and hanging down, shower not usable. Given a key to a second room and beds were not made and had what appeared to be dirty linens balled up on them. Went back to lobby and staff went to check themselves on 2 other options and we finally moved to a suitable room. Front desk staff was friendly, but clearly have a lot on their plate with reduced staff at the end of the day. We needed to stay one additional night and made the decision to book an alternate hotel rather than extend our stay at this hotel.

The room and staff was nice. There must have been a mechanical issue as there was no heat in the lobby. It was very cold and the continental breakfast was sparse at best. If staying for an extended time the room had a kitchenette and the price was reasonable.

The stay itself was wonderful the room was huge and the man working last night was great. We stayed at this location to be local for my daughter's surgery, we went to leave at 730 this morning and could not get out of the driveway. It was and probably still is completely covered in ice and is very steep, my daughter's surgery had to be rescheduled because I ended up stuck in the parking lot until close to 11 am. When I asked the front desk guy this morning about salt or a salt truck I was told no salt, and he would call but didn't know about a salt truck. Every other hotel was being taken care of right there. I ended up having to wait for a car to move in the hotel next doors parking lot and drive over the curb to their lot and hope for the best. Don't recommend this hotel in icy winter weather that is for sure.
