When booking this non-refundable room, we were not told that there was no a/c and that the place was under construction. Granted we stayed in the heat of summer and even mountain air didnât cool off our sunny facing room. We slept with the heavy glass door open with only a magnet screen curtain keeping anyone from entering our room. I have environmental allergies so after only two nights here, I came home with sinus and ear issues. The grounds also are in dire need of attention.
I can tell the owners have a dream to renovate and make it a welcoming retreat..might be better to fix it up a bit before opening it to public. All guests want to feel secure while in their room and this wasnât possible.
This place was fantastic! The owners went above and beyond to accomadate my family. They even bought us lunch because they were doing some renovations to their property and needed to work on our room. I ran a 100 mile race and finished it and the Owners bought us pizza as well. They have a beautiful mountain property with a lake and horses, volleyball and basketball and pool. Just an incredible stay and we will be back for sure!
We came here as a family and stayed for one night. It was the perfect mountain lodge. The room was very clean and comfortable. The pool was warm and even had some toys. We loved the multi-purpose room with cornhole and ping pong. I highly recommend getting pizza at the restaurant in the basement.
We had an amazing experience! It reminded me of being at a luxury camp! It was a unique set up. Definitely a must to get away from the normal hotel experience!
There was no tvâs and that is not stated anyone online so that was a bit disappointing. The room was extremely hot and the sun was shining in terribly bright. The curtains were thin white so room never got real dark and sunrise at 6am was not fun since we had 5 more hours to have slept. We were shocked by our fridge like 6 times and there was no one around to tell. The front desk was closed when we arrived and never saw another person the whole time we were there. The on sight restaurant was very expensive. We got pizza cheese sticks and a salad it was 50 dollars. Pizza was delicious though. The pool was ok a bit cold but it is the mountains only bad part was the hot tub was out of service so that was a bummer. We also couldnt use our balcony it was out of service. There was not much around to do but the views were beautiful. The horses were pretty cool to see.
Beautiful views, easy drive from cripple creek (attended the ice festival). Great place, looking forward to coming back when it's a little warmer then negative degrees to check out all the surroundings and amenities!
