We ended up in a Bait and Switch with this property, Host called day before arrival emergency at property but she had another property we could use, at same price, no need to contact vrbo we could just make the switch,It was not even thru vrbo, when I had a gut feeling to contact vrbo, we were lucky enough to find another property that was EXCELLENT!
This was a beautiful home and perfect for our large party to stay in. The only hiccup was when we arrived for check in, the cleaning crew was still there which wasnât a huge deal. We contacted our host and she was very helpful.
We rented this home for a Girl Scout retreat which included 15 9 year olds and 8 mothers. The home said it slept 25 and it does not unless you want to have couch surfers in the living room which I feel if you're saying it sleeps a certain number that should be in bedrooms, even if that's on the couches in the bedrooms. We ended up going to purchase 3 additional blow up mattresses simply so everyone had a room to go to for sleeping and changing. That was a huge disappointment. Another piece is we were aware we were only getting a starter pack of toilet paper, trash bags and paper towels however when we showed up there were zero dish tabs, dish soap, not enough towels to service our 23 people and not enough sheets or blankets to service 23, let alone 25. I let the host know and she said she'd insta cart at least dishwasher tabs and soap. Those never arrived and she fell off communication. We own and operate 5 vacation rentals and if you don't provide at least starters of that stuff you're opening up your home to get trashed. Luckily we'd brought paper plates and things to work off of and hand washed everything we cooked with but not everyone would be willing to do that. We were with young ladies and trying to set a good example or I'd have been encouraged to leave everything in the sink. It was pretty disheartening I got immediate response but then zero follow through when it came down to it. Would not recommend this property or any others this host manages.
This was a perfect property for our family get together. Itâs a beautiful property. We loved it and felt it was as advertised. We would highly recommend a stay here!
Missing bathroom toiletries- no shampoo or body wash
We stripped the beds and empty the trash. Is that usual for this caliber of lodging?
Overall we enjoyed the time with family and the accomodations worked great.
This home was the perfect spot for our family reunion! Plenty of space inside and out. There were a plethora of games to keep the teenagers busy. The house has a great view of Pikes Peak and sunsets. The neighborhood is gorgeous. One morning we saw two bucks in a neighbors yard and the teenagers saw a few toads.
The host, Kathryn, is easy to work with and was very helpful anytime we reached out to her.
There are a few things to be mindful of when picking this property. All of the bedrooms facing east get the sunrise light shining directly in your face each morning. The bedroom on the main floor doesnât have total privacy due to the main door not having a curtain on it. I brought a sheet that I hung over the door to fix the problem. (Thank you for the heads up from previous reviewers) Another issue with sleeping in that room is there is no bathroom close to take a shower. You either have to go upstairs or downstairs to get ready in the morning. It was also hard to sleep well in that room since the curtains let in lots of light from the security lights on all night and the sunrise shining in your face in the morning. I woke up several times during the night thinking it was daylight. That room also doesnât have anywhere to hang up clothes. It does have lots of shelving and a few drawers to put clothes in. The house is in a more rural area so amenities are about a 10 minute drive away. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay! We would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful on our family vacation in Colorado! This house is beautiful and the location is the best! Rural enough that youâre away from the business of the city but close enough to not have to drive far for groceries or adventures!
I have stayed in several vacation rentals and this house the best kitchen!! Along with being gorgeous it is very well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and plenty of room for seating all around it!! All appliances are top notch and in working order! Very open to the large living room also!
The master suite upstairs is amazing and there were plenty of bathrooms for our tribe of 16!
Iâm just going to mention this so as youâre planning where people will sleep, you need to keep this in mind.
The description says that there are 2 king sized beds and 3 queens. More accurately there are 2 king sized beds and 1 queen. The other 2 queens are truly full sized beds. The mentioned loft queen with 2 singles is a full size bed with a wooden frame built up around the mattress and thereâs no way an adult can fit into that bed without sleeping in a fetal position or hanging their legs over the bed frame!
We enjoyed the pool table and movie room in the basement and spent a lot of time playing ping pong and bags in the garage and drive! My grandsons loved that there was a basketball hoop!!
The views were phenomenal with mountains all around us and we had a doe greet us the first day in the back yard!
We enjoyed the back deck despite needed repairs!
This is a fantastic property. It was perfect for our High School Baseball team staying for the state tournament. Plenty of room for all 18 of us and plenty to do. Only issue we had we with the property manager and a double booking, but she did her best to accomodate our needs
