About the home
âBeachy Keenâ is a lovely townhouse in a brilliant location in central Cowes, across the road from the beach and easily walkable to the many supermarkets, cafes and restaurants that Cowes has to offer. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below.
Indoor Areas
The first floor comprises an open plan kitchen / dining / living area (with smart TV) opening to a balcony. Two bedrooms and a bathroom (with shower and toilet) complete this floor.
The ground floor contains two bedrooms (with TV in one of them), and a bathroom (with shower over bath & toilet), and internal access to the garage. The European laundry is in the hallway.
Outdoor Areas
The home has both a balcony on the first floor as well as an enclosed rear courtyard. There is room for two cars in the double lock-up garage. Also at your disposal are the wonderful communal facilities including a solar-heated in-ground pool and shady BBQ area for those delightful summer afternoons, plus some communal parking spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, rice cooker, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The home contains two wall mounted heating/cooling reverse-cycle split system units; one in the upstairs living room, and the other downstairs in the entrance hallway. There are also two stand-alone fans and two mobile heaters for use where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 8 beds, plus 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 11 guests:

Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
Excellent location, short walking distance to the beach and the main street. Kids loved the pool and spent most of their time there, although it could get quite crowded at times with all the other guests. House was overall comfortable and quite lovely, however cleanliness could have been better. In particular the couches were quite frankly disgusting, they had stains all over them and a large amount of dust and crumbs in between the seats. Bring your own pillows as the ones provided are very flat.
Great for a groups, destination was close to main shopping and entertainment all un walking distance . The house was clean however the clothesline was broken and no one told us. The couches were disgusting. We had to put a cover over then to sit . Need to be cleaned on a regular basis. No lighting outsie when arriving home late .
Couldnât check in until 3 hrs after check in time because cleaners hadnât cleaned aft previous tenants. Garage door was broken. Sign on balcony door said we couldnât use balcony. Within 2 hours the fridge started tripping all power. We had 7 ppl living out of 2 small eskies as we were without a fridge for 3 days. Property Mgr (Bernadette) was responsive but it will go down as one of those holidays we talk about for all the wrong reasons.
