Escape to our stunning log home, set on 5 picturesque acres in the breathtaking Black Hills. Open Floor Plan:
Enjoy a spacious layout featuring a loft with three sleeping areas separated by partial walls, no doors (please see our photos). Not for those that need absolute privacy. The sleeping arrangements include:2 King Beds, 2 Twin Beds, 2 Queen Pull-Out Couches on the main floor. Additional extra-large electric air mattresses available if needed.

Comfort & Entertainment:
The great room boasts a 70-inch Smart TV with Netflix for your viewing pleasure. A newly added outdoor sauna offers a unique relaxation experience. Kids will enjoy our coin-operated mechanical horse, while adults can relish indoor entertainment options, including:Pool Table, Foosball Table, Pinball Machine. Darts, Bean Bag Game. Bowling Machine, Internet access, computer, printer, and phone for your convenience,

Outdoor Bliss:
Multiple patios surround the house, equipped with comfortable seating to soak in the serene surroundings. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck off the main bedroom loft while watching deer roam—one evening, we counted 16 at once!

The home features both a gas fireplace and a wood fireplace, perfect for cozy evenings. Firewood is provided. Bathrooms with showers are conveniently located in both the loft and on the main floor.

The cabin is a beautiful home. The extras of a sauna, pool table, pinball machines and foosball were perfect for 5 grandsons. The sleeping loft was awesome with comfortable beds, privacy, and a soundproof bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked and the outdoor grill was perfect for making dinners at home after a day of sightseeing. Our only regret is that we didn’t have much time to just enjoy the property because of our sightseeing schedule. The cabin is close to Custer State Park’s wildlife loop so we were able to see wildlife everyday on our driving route.

The house had everything you could need. The beds were comfy, plenty of pillows and blankets for those cold nights. Instructions were clearly posted on all the appliances and light switches. The house and the area were quiet and serene. Would definitely recommend staying here. The main attractions aren't far away and the drive is scenic and peaceful.

It was a great cabin, it had everything for any age. It was beautiful inside & out. Having the wildlife in the yard every morning was amazing. Overall, this is an amazing home in a gorgeous setting. There are a few reasons that I didn’t give it 5 stars. 1) Many of the things advertised in the description were not working: pinball machine ( a big reason we chose this property), mechanical horse, bike tires flat on several of the bikes & only 2 burners worked on the grill. 2) Some things weren’t very clean: I had to clean the freezer drawer before we could put our food in it and cabinets were not super clean and organized. The dishwasher had a horrible smell but was able to remedy it with a vinegar wash 3) This was probably my fault in not reading carefully but when it says open floor plan it is absolutely open- no doors on bedrooms upstairs and it’s loft style so totally open to downstairs. There is 0 privacy. There is a downstairs pullout bed, which my husband and I slept in. Had a bit more privacy but still every word ppl say is heard as the loft is open right above. I would have liked to have known these things before making the decision to rent. It would be a good set up for certain situations where privacy is not an issue and make sure the things you are looking forward to are in working order. positives: the setting is amazing- lots of room for the kids to play, kitchen has most of what you would need to cook utensil/cookware wise, and lots of bath & kitchen towels. Also washer/dryer. Overall, it is a beautiful property and very unique. Just an issue with privacy and some deferred maintenance.

Couldnt have gone better. Toys for kids, lots of room, nice grill to use, 2 coffee machines, all appliances were top notch with full dish wear, beds were comfortable, and plenty of space for the family to lounge together after long days sightseeing. Would recommend 10/10 again!

Nice details

I appreciated the abundance of towels, kitchen items, and hooks in the bathrooms. The arcade games were fun to play when there was a lull in activities. Garage parking was a bonus, too. The setting of the home was nice. Very quiet and conveniently located to tourist attractions.

We had the best time at the Jade Pines home! So much thought went into everything in the home. There were plenty of games for the children, as well as a sauna and relaxing patio areas for the adults. The area was also perfect for a nice bike ride with the kiddos! This is where we would love to stay next time we visit SD!

Great homebase for Black Hills trip!

Our family of 6 found this place be excellent! We were so busy out and about most days, this cabin offered a great place to relax in the evenings. One day it was rainy, but that was OK as that was some nice "cabin time" too! The property is clean and well maintained, and the owners were very pleasant to communicate with. The location is a little ways out of the hustle and bustle, and that was so nice for having peace and quiet in the middle of a forest meadow.

This property was beautiful! My family enjoyed every minute. It was located very close to some great sites, but remote and quiet when we came back to enjoy the rest of our day. We saw multiple deer while there which was a treat as well. The hosts really are considerate and had lots of things covered for any cooking needs. It was apparent that they take great care of this property. It was probably the cleanest place we have ever stayed! The only suggestion would be to maybe update the pinball machines as we couldn't get them to work. However, the pool table was a hit with my kids!

Great log cabin

The stay was wonderful. The whole family had a great time. The cabin was well stocked with most every thing you would need and more. Plenty of towels and dishes. We did a lot of hiking and going to see all the sights. Spent a whole day at Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Drove the wilderness loops at dusk. Got to see a lot of different animals.

Perfect for our family vacation

For the things we wanted to see - the location was great. Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, The Badlands, Deadwood, Custer State Park, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave. We were able to get it all done. The house was great for our needs as we had family meals every night - having lunch on our daily adventures and coming home and enjoying home cooked meals followed by family game nights of Uno and Mexican Train.

Patrick and Susan thought of everything! The cabin it's self is fantastic and beautiful. Plenty of towels, kitchen is stocked, lots to do! My teenage boys were totally entertained! Great beds! Highly recommend.

Round up stay

Great property!! The only thing I would note is that there are not three bedrooms. The loft is open with partition walls in between the beds. Which makes it awkward for family members that are conservative and/or shy about changing or sleeping habits. Wasn't an issue that we couldn't work around. Great property, it was like home, traveling from our log home to yours. Everyone enjoyed the arcade games and the little kids enjoyed being thought of and having toys to play with as well, besides their own. Will definitely book again.

Great family getaway

Jade Pines as a great fit for my extended family. Nine of us felt right at home and the location was the perfect out-of-the-way basecamp for exploring Mt. Rushmore, Jewel Cave and Custer State Park. We encountered the largest bison herd I've ever seen while driving the Custer Wildlife Loop. Unfortunately during our stay both pinball machines and the shuffleboard bowling game were out of order. A big disappointment for us as the games were a major factor in our selection of Jade Pines. A couple of us enjoyed the sauna and took advantage of the bicycles in the garage. We did a fair amount of cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. Cookware and cooking utensils weren't of great quality, but that's to be expected at a rental property. There were plenty of dishes for our larger group, and plenty of bedding and bath towels as well. When we had questions Patrick was responsive and friendly. Overall an enjoyable stay.
