I stayed recently in February and had originally booked an accessible King room. At check-in was told that the room isn't available as it had been taken. We were moved to a different King room and told we can change rooms the following day. This wasn't very professional considering I had booked in August 2023 and a week before confirmed everything. We noticed in this room that the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working but didn't think too much of it. It then was about 3pm the next day before we were given the second room which wasted the whole morning.
The second room bathroom was a wet-room and the extractor fan wasn't working here either. We raised it with the hotel and they sent someone to look at it. The following day they were still trying to fix it and turned out the pipes had eroded on the roof causing it to affect all rooms. How was this the first they became aware of it? The smell in the bathroom was unbearable and constantly damp/mould smelling. It ruined our experience of the hotel
