The hotel itself is very nice, with spacious and aesthetically well-designed rooms. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the property. The hotel appeared understaffed during the busy 12/28–1/1 period, & while staff were friendly, they often lacked clear answers or seemed overwhelmed. It also felt like everywhere we turned, someone was complaining about something. The hotel frequently ran out of towels by the pool, there was no toilet paper in the pool bathroom, and ordering drinks poolside was difficult because servers rarely came by. At the rooftop restaurant, multiple menu items were sold out. Breakfast & the coffee spot in the hotel were extremely slow, and when we attempted to order a smoothie, we were told they couldn’t make any at that time. We also overheard in the lobby that the hotel had overbooked and had to relocate a family to another property. Compensation was not proactively offered, and the guest had to return to the desk to ask for it, which was surprising. The valet and front desk teams also appeared overwhelmed. Additionally, we were not informed at check-in that beach shuttle reservations must be made the night before to secure a preferred time slot, which can result in needing to Uber. Our room was also not ready until 5:00 PM despite a 4:00 PM check-in time. On a positive note, the two restaurants directly next to the hotel — Campi and Akira Back — were excellent and highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay except for two areas. Housekeeping did not do a great job. Floor never swept or vacuumed and bathtub was slippery as if it had not been washed. The outside porch was never cleaned. Bird droppings were on table. The pool should have been awesome but it was nearly impossible to get a space. The roof deck furniture was stained and in shreds. One sofa was covered with a bedsheet. Very disappointed. The front desk staff and valets were wonderful as was the food and restaurant staff.

Has potential, with a good gym, but many “better” rooms are right above car park/lobby, on main road, and poorly managed from ten minute line to get basic coffee in the morning to pool chairs filling up by 9 or 10 for the day (and is a mix of kids and adults without). Staff need better hospitality training, or it needs some new staff. Significant distance from ocean means it can’t afford to be subpar on so many points.

Horrible. Service didn’t exist. Given a room that had more issues than the holocaust. The check in front desk person was less than interested in us as patrons. Later learned from another staff member the room we were given was known to be sub standard. How pathetic. Our upgraded room was a handicapped room that prior to sleeping maintenance had to come to the room to remove the tv and heavy maintenance had to be done. The hotel as a whole is and was substandard. Sorry i spent so much money on the rooms. Not impressed or happy actually disgusted. The hotel was less than fully occupied and no attempt to make us happy occurred. Not to mention the guest who checked in before us was totally disregarded for what they originally reserved and was told a complete lie about what was available to them. Long story but it’s a fact the front agent lied about what was available to them as they requested a joining rooms and never got them. They had children with them!!! FIX IT!!!
