All of the above — room, staff, amenities, and overall property condition. Worst reservation ever!
The room and hotel were in an unsanitary and deteriorated state. The sheets were dirty and had to be changed, the furniture was so filthy it could not be used without covering it, and the refrigerator, microwave, freezer, and ice maker were visibly dirty. The bathroom had stained tubs, broken tile flooring, peeling walls and mirrors, and flickering/broken light fixtures. There were strong odors throughout the building.
Advertised amenities were not available or non-functional, including Wi-Fi and premium cable. The overall condition of the property did not match the listing or the standard of the sister location in Troy.
Staff response was also an issue. I was told I would receive a refund, then later informed it would be prorated, and the amount discussed did not reflect my balance. The general manager was dismissive and unprofessional when I raised these concerns. Stating that the hotel was under renovation like that supposed to be a reason for not being accommodated and that was not on the website as knowledge.
This was not a matter of preference — the accommodations were not as advertised and were not reasonably usable. I am requesting a full refund for the unused nights due to unsanitary conditions and misrepresentation.
