"This is my first time in Nicaragua and I'm still not sure what to expect. I stayed in some hotels south of Managua that exceeded my expectations but I would say that while this one was incredibly convenient for the airport and rental car return, the hotel did not meet my expectations for an international name brand Hotel, especially a flagship property right by the international airport. The hard surfaces were very clean but the soft furnishings really needed some TLC. The room was adequate with the same issues. My bed spread had a yellow stain in it which was a little disconcerting and a steady stream of little mosquitoes seem to find their way into my room at the rate of about one every half hour. The pool deck was nice but the restaurant, whilst looking good, only offered a very basic buffet that's back home would not be worth the $22US price tag. The staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be given my lack of Spanish. The people in Nicaragua have been absolutely marvelous, they are a gracious and generous people. I would stay here again because it met my needs and walking back to the hotel from the rental car drop off, and then to the airport in the morning was a real pleasure."
