Reasonably priced in an overpriced neighborhood. Restaurants and music venues are a ten-minute walk away, and the river walk (including the famous bats) and 6th Street are also within easy reach. Some areas are a bit funky after dark so women might not want to walk alone, but for the most part it's a lot of fun. Rooms are comfortable but small; traffic noise from I-35 is a constant white noise. If you're driving be sure not to arrive too late as there is limited free parking.

Hotel is advertised as non-smoking - room reeked of marijuana. Room had two side table lamps otherwise is was very dim. Tv is small and is plugged into a power strip that had to be turned on. The threshold between carpet and tile (between room/wash room) had nails exposed. Shower drained very slow. Customer service was excellent though!

Great location, not so great otherwise.
Great location, within walking distance to everything. People very nice and parking was free. However, old and not maintained. Paint peeling and dirty furniture & windows, coffee machine broke, no bathroom vent, no table by chair & no lamp on one side of bed. The noise from roof ACs and cheap refrigerator was annoying. Considering great location, it would seem worthwhile to put some money into it.
