The hotel is in an excellent location. The front desk staff are very friendly. The bed was comfortable. The pillows not so much. The hotel is old, I understand that part, but if they had more effort to clean better their bathrooms. It looks very dirty, even when it is not. They can do better on that.

The property was absolutely lovely and was within walking distance of almost everything. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the room was not soundproof as we could hear the parties going on late into the early morning, otherwise I would recommend to stay again.

Jose checked us in and gave us the rundown of Temple Bar with location and proximity to all of the local attractions. We were introduced to Ross, the bar manager, who was a wealth of info on Irish whiskeys and the local area. Our room was quite nice but backed onto the fans/ducting and an outdoor bar below so was noisy when the windows had to be open which was every time the shower was used. The front desk attendant the morning we checked out spent a great deal of time discussing Euro politics with others ahead of us while we WAITED pressed for time to get to the airport but I recommend staying here.

A must if you’re looking to stay in city centre.

Great stay, helpfull staff, great location, beautiful lounge, big and comfortable bedroom, very clean. Will definitely go back. Also a big thanks to the Costa Rican receptionist, unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but a great guy and made our stay so much better.

Overall a good place, good people, and great location for tourists .. fan helped in absence of AC .. bed needs to be replaced because it was sagging in the middle and we both were sliding into each other. You expect a firm mattress at this price

The Clarence - Dublin

The hotel is very nicely located in the Temple Bar area, given you access to great restaurants and bars, along with the Trinity College and museums. The check in was great and the girl at the desk was very helpful and took our luggage as our rooms were not ready. We finally got word that our rooms were ready and our luggage had already been taken up to our rooms. While the hotel is nice, our room was feeling a little tired. There was no air conditioning and while we used the fan provided, it only did so much. Our other family members had some issues with their room and was moved to a newly renovated suite on the lower levels so knowing that they seem to be working on adding new amenities such as AC, once done, it will be a lot better. The room otherwise was great - it has a fridge (which most hotels do not have we have discovered while touring Ireland) and a two chairs on a little balcony which we used every night. The bar area in the lobby was used and enjoyed as well. Overall, very happy about our stay and would stay again.

There was no air conditioning in the rooms and we found it very hot and uncomfortable. If we left the windows open, the rowdy noise from the streets and the bars in the Temple Bar area kept us away. The staff were nice, but they could do nothing about it. I woudl not recommend this place unless you came to party all night.
