This hotel was nothing fancy, but it was adequate. The bathroom was the best part. It was very clean. Be prepared to walk up a large flight of stairs to get to your room. There is not desk staff there after 8:00pm, so we checked ourselves in. It would have been fine, except we couldn’t figure out the door lock for our room, at first. The staff person’s English wasn’t very good, so when I called for help, communication was a little tricky. He also seemed like he didn’t care if we could lock our door or not until he could see it the next morning. I was (obviously) not okay with that, so I kept talking to him on the phone until we figured it out. Otherwise, he was very helpful the next day in pointing out local attractions and gave us a fabulous recommendation on a restaurant to try. The hotel was very convenient to many attractions in the area, although Florence is small and very walkable, so most hotels are probably that way.
