The noise from upstairs coming through the floor is terrible. Sounded like baby elephants dancing in the room above us. One of the tiniest showers I have ever seen with a huge bench in the bathroom. With an internal window all the noise from the downstairs kitchen travels upstairs so u will likely be woken from around 6am. Couldn’t work out why our socks and slippers were going yellow till we realised some sort of yellow liquid was leaking through the light in the bathroom ceiling. Disgusting trying not to imagine what this could be… staff told us they only work there and to email manager. Good location and breakfast but would not stay here again or recommend it to others

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Rosso 23. The property is very clean, professional, and has an upscale feel. My room was a bit small, but still comfortable and well-maintained, with fresh towels and linens provided daily. The complimentary breakfast each morning was a great touch, and the staff went above and beyond -helping me with my suitcase to the elevator upon arrival and arranging a taxi transfer to the airport when I checked out. The location is fantastic, within easy walking distance to many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Overall, an excellent choice for a Florence stay!

Only issue was the shower space was very less and the rooms were not insulated at all. i could hear phone alarm in the next room. But other than that it was an amazing stay. Service and breakfast was impressive.

Great stay!

Was worried about staying so close to train station but it was great. Short 5 minute walk from station. Hotel is located in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. Plenty of food options and recommendations. Staff extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows were comfy, a/c cold, elevator slow but works! House keeping left candy everyday which made my daughter so happy! Safe, quiet area. Would recommend!

Overall, the hotel is in a good location, with everything quite close by. However, the hotel itself is not in great condition, especially the rooms — it’s a bit old and doesn’t seem to be well-maintained. It looks like some parts of the hotel have been renovated, but not the rooms. Housekeeping service is only available in the mornings — otherwise, the room won’t be cleaned. Breakfast offers several options to choose from, but it’s not a buffet. Every day it’s the same. The breakfast staff is very friendly and kind. Check-out is at noon with no option to extend it.

The Hotel Rosso 23 is our “go to” hotel in Florence. We always try to stay here and always enjoy our stay. It’s a stunning property which is a fusion of 2 original palazzos, sharing the property with the hotel Garibaldi Blu! The hotel has stunning features including an awesome sweeping staircase and an original 14th century fresco on the 1st floor. The breakfast is fabulous with so much choice. All staff are attentive and friendly and multilingual! Also a great central location!

Hotel is in a great location (a little hard to find under scaffolding right now). The AC was amazing to come back to after wandering Florence in the summer heatwave! The staff was great- stored my luggage when I arrived early, packed me a box breakfast when I was checking out very early. I stayed in a 1-person room - it is very small, and the shower is very-very small. The biggest frustration was that there weren't a lot of outlets for charging, and also that above/around me, when they were using showers and toilets, the plumbing was loud. I would definitely stay again!

Great clean place with a great breakfast! I stayed 1 night by myself to catch the airport the next morning and felt very comfortable and the lobby called me a taxi and it was there within the minute! You could easily take the train bc it’s right there as well but my luggage was to heavy by myself! Overall I would stay there again.

The property was located closely to the main train station in the city, close enough to walk to all the tourist destinations and right near a bunch of restaurants. The room was very clean, minimalist but perfectly put together, staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay at again in Florence.

Daniele, who worked the front desk was excellent. He was very helpful in making suggestions. He also was very compassionate since I was there to take care of a sick child in Florence. I would highly recommend the hotel, the breakfast was excellent. It is very convenient. The hotel lobby is a very beautiful space. The room I had was the economy room, so it was not very fancy, but there are higher level rooms that I did not see. There were no deficiency in the room and it was clean. The shower saw was small so if you’re a bigger person, it might be too small.

Nice hotel close to the railway station and an easy walk into the city center. Nice rooms and nice buffet breakfast with gluten-free options. Very helpful staff at the front desk and in the breakfast room.
