The food served at breakfast was GREAT! I was afraid my car was going to get broken into...lighting in PLot. Room was dirty, hair everywhere, not just bathroom. Staff was nice to chat.

I had to book this hotel last minute due thunderstorms and our original plans to camp. I looked at the photos and decided to book as it looked nice and updated. However, when we arrived it looked nothing like the photos. Honestly it was very oddly decorated. The lobby was beautiful, that I will say. The carpet throughout the hotel didn't match, the pattern looks like it belongs in an arcade and was lumpy. The hallway smelled strongly of curry, there were slot machines in the main hallway by the breakfast area, you could see outline of the old lighting fixures behind the new lighting fixtures, there were banquet tables and chairs in the pool area mixed in with proper pool seating, the sky windows above the pool were boarded up, you had to pay for coffee in the lobby, there was ONE wire hanger in our closet, the wallpaperwall art in the hallway had been peeled off. I think the people who own/work at the hotel live there, I took my son swimming at the pool area the front desk clerk who renewed our key cards walked from the front desk to a large group of people and hung out with them as if he knew them really well. One of them went to grab a giant indistrial fan and brought it back to the area along with an extension cord. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the hotel was really close to Gettysburg, but I wouldn't stay again. This is why I don't stay at non branded hotels, but it was my fault for not reading the other reviews thoroughly.

Lacking in certain areas, but safe and quiet

There were five of us, a team down in Gettysburg for a reunion of like minded teams. The Eisenhower was a stones throw from the battlefield entrance- excellent. It was only a few minutes away from the lodge were our dinner held- excellent. We were close enough to town to do the night tours without a long drive away from the noise of downtown- excellent. Location excellent. Beds were super comfortable and the water pressure and heat for showers excellent. Condition- needs updating. The pool doesn't have safe access for individuals with walking disabilities. Once we got everyone in the pool it was a delight and a highlight (wish the glass ceiling wasn't converted over, the glass would really class it up).The ramps (in the pool and hallway) were really steep for those individuals as well. It's really just a lack of awareness for persons with disabilities. Easily fixed with a management that cares- which I hope you do. The team did mention vreakfast- it was lacking- so don't count on it to be a fueling for the day more like tide you over until you got food in town. Check in was amazing and accommodating - guest services were polite and friendly. We aren't saying we won't come back, but we may explore in town options next year when we all return. Unless we hear of the needed updates.

The front desk representative was amazing. He was friendly and very attentive. However, the room was not cleaned. There was hair in the shower a ring around the toilet bowl hair in the bathroom sink. There was hair on both beds and the mattress had springs that I could feel on my back when I was sleeping
