Staff were all lovely and working very hard because the hotel is quite understaffed. Rooms were nice although a little lacking in storage and had barn doors on the bathroom providing no privacy whatever. The hotel in general was very clean and pretty. The soaring lobby is cozy with a beautiful fireplace and bar. Plenty of seating to enjoy the amazing view. We had two breakfasts there and one dinner, and the food was tremendous. Very well done. My only important complaint regards the pool. It was advertised as a saltwater pool, however, it was so overly chlorinated that your eyes were stinging. The pool was small, but adequate sized. It was stained and dated, the ceiling was peeling, and the acoustics were horrendous. More than four kids in there and your head was pounding. It did have the same lovely view as the lobby, which was nice. The pool was heated, but not quite enough and the room itself was cold. So altogether not a great experience. Directly across the street was an activity center with snowshoeing, cross country, skiing, and a really great hill for tubing. They also offered a snow cat ride up the mountain which we did. It was absolutely amazing. Would definitely stay there again, especially if they put some money into their pool area.

For starters the HVAC filter in the room was was filthy and looked neglected for years. This was changed ar my request. Later, the next morning, I waited 10-15 minutes for someone to greet me let alone seat me for breakfast. No one came. I left. The personal st the desk during each incident were polite and professional. However, it is absurd that you consider yourself as a resort.

The rooms are clean, we received a complimentary toys and treats for our dog, which was very cute. We needed to leave one day earlier for personal reasons and they were very understanding and cooperative. This is a lovely boutique hotel that would be best suited for couples or groups of friends. For a family of five I would recommend a different place. The restaurant is very expensive and there are limited food options close by (10-15 minutes to closest restaurant). The pool is very small so once 6 people were in it, it felt crowded and there wasn’t much room to swim. The snow tubing across the street was great and not crowded. If you stay at hotel the tickets are half price. I think for the price I would choose a place closer to North Conway with more options for eating and shopping.
