Our room had dog food left on the floor (we didn’t have a dog with us), the elevators didn’t work and the bead bolt on the door would not lock. Every time I went to talk to someone and the front desk their was no one there or you had to wait 10-15 minutes for them to show up.

Leanne was very attentive, respectful and friendly. She provided more sheets and blankets when asked even though these were requested in my booking . The property manager decided to add cleaner to the pool 30mins before we arrived and we were told to use the spa/pool at our own risk and if our eyes start getting irritated or we start coughing we should get out. Pool should’ve been cleaned earlier in the week knowing spring breakers would be traveling. The pool was freezing cold for being an indoor pool, there was a space heater on but no heat coming out. The spa was so dirty I had to pull out 2 water bugs.The floor in the pool room was so slippery since it seems like no one cleans or mops. My kids slipped 2x and they were walking not running, so dangerous! The elevator didn’t work the morning after, thank god for stairs. There were very few items for breakfast provided. The room was decent for a family of 5, restroom was stocked except there was an empty Kleenex box. The trash cans were miniature for a family room. Location was convenient since it’s close to Dinosaur World and Dinosaur Valley but will definitely look into staying in another city nearby instead of this hotel.

Great staff in older property

Very clean and accommodating to guests but needs more upgrading (e.g. elevator was not working all the time.) Staff tried very hard to address all concerns raised. Great breakfast menu, refilled immediately and coffee was very hot!! I hope they complete upgrades and do well.

Not so great experience

Upon arrival, the front desk representative informed me that we were on the third floor and the elevator was not working and ask if that was okay? What am I supposed to say to that? No it's not okay that the elevator is not working? No it's not okay that I'm on the third floor... I asked her to put us on a lower floor because my knee was bothering me and I needed to take it easy because I was staying there for a 20 mile hike the following morning. She couldn't put us in another room so I had to climb the stairs with all of our luggage.. I was also told that the hot tub was working and after the 20 mile hike I was looking forward to soaking in it, but it was ice cold. The elevators also were out the entire time we were there. So several negatives... Third floor room with no working elevators, and the they actually put us right next to the stairs so all we heard all morning long was slamming of the door next to our room. The neighbors in room 303 were yelling and fighting, had kids that were slamming and banging at all hours of the night. And no working hot tub. I also didn't mention the shower, there were hairs in it that did not belong to us. It was just not the most pleasant stay.

The room was completely disgusting. It was almost as if it wasn’t even cleaned before we arrived or honestly in week. Crumbs everywhere of food, nasty stains everywhere on furniture, sheets, blankets, bed. Floors were crusted. The bathroom sink and counter still had dried toothpaste all over it!

I’m not sure how this property has any type of acceptable rating. The only thing halfway decent about this property is the exterior paint. Our room was absolutely filthy. If I hadn’t been so busy and simply needing a bed, I would have left the moment I entered the room. I have photos of how disgusting the room was, and if I am unable to upload here, I will on google, yelp and booking. I will never recommend this property to ANYone. Maintenance neglect and plain filthy housekeeping. No excuses for the condition of this room.

Comfy and quiet

We were staying for 4 nights here. We were blessed to stay on the first floor. Our room was very spacious. I love the darkening shade because I get bothered in sleeping with a little light on. The hotel was definitely convenient to where we needed to be at Riverbend Retreat Center. Our bathroom could use a little bit better cleaning or updates. The shower head needs to be changed or cleaned(Tip: Use baking soda and vinegar on the shower head to get those grime off). Also, you probably need to get an exterminator to check because I saw a roach in our bathroom as well and another kind of bug that I had to step on. Other than that, the room is comfortable. The pillows needs some updating. It was yellowish in color and the pillowcases too. Breakfast was good. Typical breakfast items available. Overall, our stay was good regardless of the minor things I described.
