Step out your front door and you're only a short walk to the Grand Haven Musical Fountain — one of the largest musical fountains in the world — where nightly water-and-light shows light up the riverfront all summer long. The beach is about half a mile away, and you're surrounded by downtown favorites like the Kirby House, boutique shops, rooftop bars, and the iconic boardwalk.

Whether you're here to unwind or dive into all that downtown Grand Haven has to offer, Log Haven provides a laid-back, woodsy vibe with unbeatable access to the best of the city.

Could have had pots and pans in kitchen, hangers in closets, a book maybe stating where to park and things to do. We had no idea where to park for hours after we checked in, which was very frustrating, especially with signs saying our vehicle could be towed if not parked in correct spot. The door also, we could see out the bottom and sides of it, which was a little creepy. The bed was comfortable, and the place was cute.

Good: steps from downtown. OK: spartan furnishings at best. Poor: lack of air conditioning control. The thermostat is in the attached garage. How a garage thermostat is supposed to control the air in the house is beyond me. Two of our nights the AC was on continuously and it was like a meat locker in the unit. We went into the garage to turn off the system entirely at 2am.

No hair dryer No thermostat in apartment and no extra blankets in unit Rust and mold all over the bathroom The toilet overflowed multiple times, and when the maintenance man came he said “I was just getting ready to punch out too” Front door is a closet door and can easily be broken into The couch is very uncomfortable and dilapidated When talking to the host, he was not helpful at all but instead said nobody else has complained. The toilet clearly had been worked on multiple times because it had scratches in the porcelain
